B.Tech Admission 2016

The B.Tech Admission 2016 gives the information about the process of the B.Tech admissions in Punjab. It is compulsory for all engineering candidates to appear for JEE Main 2016 as per the notice by the Dept. of Technical Education & Engineering Training to be qualified for entrances to the B.Tech courses in Punjab. The candidates who have qualified the Joint Engineering Entrance Exam 2016 should apply online from the specified university websites.

Selection Criteria

• The applicants have to pass 10+2 from the Punjab State Board or an equal known board, with a bare minimum of 50% in total.
• The applicants must have emerged in JEE Main 2016 and score meet the criteria marks.
• In intermediate, candidates should have studied Physics and Mathematics as necessary subjects with elective subjects being Computer Science, Biology or Chemistry.
• The applicants who have approved an Engineering diploma from Punjab State Board of Technical Education or SLIET are also qualified.
• The candidates who have passed a two year diploma course from SLIET are also eligible.

Admission Process

The candidates will be selected for the B.Tech Programmes on the basis of JEE-2016 merit. Punjab B.Tech Admission 2016 Counselling will have two rounds of Counselling. The candidates should pay their application fee either online and offline process. Online applicants can pay the fees to Punjab technical university, through the Internet Banking using Credit card/Debit card. Offline applicants can pay the fee through the cash payment in any of the banks (HDFC, AXIS bank etc.).

Once the payment is paid the candidates will be eligible for the counselling. Candidates must apply online using JEE Main 2016 Roll number. The candidates have to fill their choices and submit them for the seat allotment. After filling the choices, candidates can take the printout of the filled choices for future admission process.
