GATE 2025 Application Form

Checkout the below details to know all about GATE 2025 Application Form:

  • Candidates will be able to fill registration form of GATE Exam 2025 from first week of August 2024.
  • Application form will only be accepted through online mode. No offline facility will be provided to submit it.
  • Each registered candidate will be provided the unique enrolment ID after the successful registration.
  • One must fill the application form with details i.e. personal, address, communicational, exam centre choices, paper choice, qualifications, etc.
  • Documents i.e. photograph, signature, photo identity & caste certificates must be uploaded in the GATE application form 2025.
  • Candidates will be able to apply for one or up to two paper combinations. However, only single application form will be received by the authority.
  • Last date to fill GATE 2025 application form will be second week of October 2024 without any late fee.
  • Candidates are advised to not send printout of filled application form & uploaded certificate/ documents to the zonal GATE offices.
  • Authority will also provide correction facility to the candidates in third week of November 2024 if, they have done any mistake in details.
  • Take printout of the filled-in application form and keep it safe for further references.

Application Fee:

  • Candidates will be able to pay registration fee through online mode.
  • Debit card/ credit card/ net banking/ Wallet/ UPI will be the online payment gateways.
  • Candidates must remember that fee will be non-refundable (except when two paper combination is removed by the authority) & non-transferable.

How to Apply for GATE 2025

  • Step-1: Navigate to the online GATE website (Link will be given above).
  • Step-2: On the homepage click “Register Here” button.
  • Step-3: Enter asked details & email ID/ valid mobile number.
  • Step-4: Fill all asked details in the application form.
  • Step-5: Upload required documents in prescribed size & format.
  • Step-6: Pay the application fee through electronic payment method.
  • Step-7: Check the status of application form through login.
  • Step-8: Take printout of the registration and keep it safe for further purpose.

GATE 2025 How to Apply

GATE 2025 Application Correction

GATE 2025 Application correction window will be opened in third week of November 2024 through online mode. Candidates will be able to modify/ change particular details in the application form. Candidates must correct details using login credentials i.e. application number or date of birth.

Correction may be allowed to the candidates in few of details i.e. name, parents details, qualifying scores/ qualifying degree, date of birth, address etc. To make correction in the GATE application form, candidates will need to submit a fee.

GATE 2025 Eligibility Criteria

In this section, we have provided GATE Eligibility criteria that candidates will need to check before filling the application form:

  • Qualifications: Candidates who are appearing 3rd year of undergraduate programme/ who have completed any government approved degree in the field of Engineering/ Technology/ Science will be eligible to apply.
  • Age Limit: There will be no upper or lower age criteria to apply for GATE Exam 2025.

GATE 2025 Exam Pattern

Here candidates must check GATE Exam pattern & related details of entrance exam:

  • Exam Mode: GATE Exam 2025 will be conducted in online mode (CBT).
  • Time: Total 3 hours will be provided to the candidates to solve the paper.
  • Sections: Question paper will include General Aptitude (GA) & Candidate’s Selected Subjects.
  • Number of Papers: GATE will have total 30 test papers.
  • Question Type: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), Multiple Select Questions (MSQs) & Numerical Answer Type (NAT) will be asked in the exam.
  • Total Questions: There will be total 65 questions in the question paper (10 general aptitude + 55 subject).
  • Marking Scheme: 1 or 2 marks will be provided for correct answers.
  • Negative Marking: For 1 mark of MCQ 1/3 mark will be deducted & for 2 marks of MCQ 2/3 marks will be deducted. There will be no negative marking in MSQ & NAT questions.
  • Partial Marking: There will be no partial marking for any of the question.

Answer: IIT Roorkee is responsible for organising GATE Exam 2025.

Answer: There is no attempt limit, one can appear in any number of time for GATE exam.

Answer: As of now, no changes have been announced yet in GATE Syllabus 2025. DA (Data Science & Artificial Intelligence) paper was added last year.

Answer: Yes, GATE is considered as one of the toughest Engineering exam for admission in PG courses. Of all branches, Electrical Engineering & CSE are the toughest one. Mechanical branch in M.Tech has high competition because of more number of candidates.

GATE 2025 Admit Card

Admit card of GATE 2025 will be made available to the candidates in first week of January 2025. It will be released online on the website. No printed copy of GATE admit card 2025 will be send to the aspirants. Candidates must download their admit card as soon as possible before the conduct of examination.

Check all the details carefully printed on hall ticket and if in case of any discrepancy in details contact the authority immediately. Candidates will need to appear for examination on the date and time as mentioned on GATE admit card. On the day of examination, candidates will need to bring identity proof & admit card together.

GATE 2025 Answer Key

GATE 2025 Answer Key will be available through online mode in PDF format. It will be downloaded by the aspirants from fourth week of February 2025. Candidates will be able to submit contests against the provisional answer key during the specific time. To raise objections against the GATE answer key, candidates will need to pay a requisite fee.

GATE Answer key (final) will be released once the evaluation will be finalised. Based on the final answer key, result will be declared. Final answer key will be released in first week of March 2025. With the help of answer key, candidates will be able to know their estimate scores.

GATE 2025 Result

Result will be announced through online mode in first week of March 2025. Candidates must check their results using login details. GATE Result 2025 will contain details i.e. name of the candidate, roll number, enrolment number, total marks, marks obtained by the candidates etc.

In the result, candidates must check and verify all details carefully. In case of any doubt or misprint details, contact to the authority. Candidates are advised to take printout of the GATE Result for future references.

GATE 2025 Score Card

Process to download GATE 2025 Score Card will be started from the fourth week of March 2025. Qualified candidates will be able to download their admit card from the website. Candidates are advised to keep a electronic version of score card safe for further references.

GATE Score Card will be valid for three years from the date of announcement of result. Aspirants must download their score card during the given time period. After the given time, candidates will have to pay Rs. 500/- per test paper to obtain their score card.

GATE 2025 Cut Off

Cut off of GATE 2025 will be the minimum scores that candidates should obtain in order to be eligible for admission. GATE Cut Off will be released through online mode. Cut off will be released individually by the participating/ all institutes. Qualifying marks will be different for all the exam papers.

Cut off will varies as per the category of candidates. Two type of cut off will be released by the authority i.e. qualifying cut off, admission cut off. There will be various factors that dertermines the cut off i.e. number of students appeared in exam, total availability of seats, difficulty level of exam.

GATE 2025 Counselling

CCMT & COAP will be the authority to conduct GATE 2025 counselling, separately. It will be organised through online mode. GATE Counselling 2025 will take place in different stages i.e. online registration, choice filling & locking, seat allotment, document verification etc. It will be started from third week of March 2025 by COAP.

On the successful allotment of seats, candidates must download their provisional admission letter from the website. Shortlisted candidates must report to the allotted institutes for further admission related activities. Admission to the candidates will be finalised after verification of documents & submission of admission fee.
