S.D. College of Engineering & Technology, Muzaffarnagar

S.D. College of Engineering & Technology (SDCET) is a private and self-financed institution. The college was established in the year 1997, set up by the Sanatan Dharma College Association, Muzaffarnagar. The college is awarded as the ISO 9001:2008 certified institutions for its quality education. The SDCET is affiliated to the MTU, Noida. The SDCET is approved by the AICTE and MHRD, New Delhi. The SDCET is also approved by the State Board of Technical Education and the State Government of UP for diploma courses.

Campus:

The SDCET campus is situated on the Jansath Road in district Muzaffarnagar (UP). The campus is just 2 km away from the heart of the city. The campus is spread over 22 acres of land provided by the SD college association. The campus comes under the municipal limits of the city. The SDCET is well-connected by the road and rail to the nearby cities.

Programmes:

The SDCET is conducting the diploma course, UG degree and PG degree in the field of engineering and technology. The college is offering the Polytechnic Diploma course in four disciplines, B.Tech programmes in seven disciplines and M.Tech degree course in two disciplines of engineering and technology. The B.Tech programme is accredited by NBA in Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication & Chemical Engineering branches.

Students & Faculty:

The SDCET campus is offering more than 600 seats for admissions as an annual intake capacity of the students in all programmes. The campus has a team of more than 40 members of the faculty in all departments.

Facilities:

The SDCET provides the computer lab consists of 320 computers, hostel facility, mess, dining hall, sports facility with regular physical education, medical facility, student welfare board, air-conditioned central library, engineering labs and transport facility.

Placement:

The SDCET has a central Placement Cell. The cell organizes the mock interviews, group discussion, quiz, mock test and career development programmes to make the students prepare for the future placement and employment challenges.

Activities:

Apart from academic pursuits, the college conducts personality development programmes and extracurricular activities like seminars, debates, group discussion, workshops, sports week, industrial visits and cultural programmes. The college conducts National Seminar every year.
