Sai Institute of Engineering and Technology, (SIET) Amritsar was established in the year 2008. The college is a flagship institute of Shri Sai Group which was established in the year 1996. The college is one of the fastly emerging educational institution for engineering education in the Punjab state. The college is approved by AICTE New Delhi and affiliated to Punjab Technical University (PTU) Jalandhar.
Campus:
The college is located in Amritsar district of Punjab. The college has a lush green campus, having good atmosphere, and good connectivity to all major cities by fast and frequent transport facility.
Programmes:
The college is offering four courses in undergraduate engineering discipline, leading to the degree of B.tech, the college is also offering various courses in the applied sciences. All the courses offered by the college are approved by AICTE and affiliated to Punjab Technical University (PTU).
Facilities:
The major facilities provided by SIET include well equipped labs and fully featured workshops, spacious and well ventilated classrooms, computer centre with internet facility, well stocked library consisting of huge volumes of books of national and international publications, and many printed and e-journals. The college also offers canteen and hostel facilities, sports facility, separate hostel facility for boys and girls, medical facility, transportation, and ATM facility.
Placement:
The Training and placement cell of SSGI invites many leading companies from all sectors. The cell assists each and every student in their placement process. The cell manages all the activities relating to training and placement of the students. The main objective of the cell to provide 100% employment to all the graduates of the college. The cell maintains regular interaction with the industry through Seminars, Conferences, Guest Lectures, Corporate Meets etc. and also plans and organizes on campus and off-campus recruitment drives. SSGI has organized a mega job fair in the year 2011-12 in which more than 20 multinational companies visited the campus for campus requirement.
