The Rank List for IIST 2024 has been released through online mode on the authority website. Applicants are able to check their rank card through the website of conducting authority. The authority has released the rank list for UG and PG courses separately on different dates.
The rank list has been published according to the category. It has been prepared on the basis of marks secured in the national level examination i.e. JEE Main, JEE Advanced, GATE etc. Candidates must keep their rank list safe till the completion of admission procedure.

How to check IIST 2024 Merit List
Candidates must go through the given steps to download the IIST Merit List 2024:
- Visit the IIST website (Link is given above).
- Click on the “Admission Rank List”.
- The result will be displayed on the screen.
- Select your respective course.
- The merit list will be displayed on the screen.
- Download the merit list and take a print out of it.
IIST 2024 Merit List
The IIST 2024 Merit list for the B.Tech course will be prepared on the basis of the scores obtained by the candidate in the JEE Advanced exam. For PG courses, students will be shortlisted on the basis of GATE scores for interviews/ written tests.
The authority will publish the merit list after few days of examination. Only appearing candidates will be able to check the merit list through online mode. It will consist of a position secured by the student in the entrance exam. According to the merit list, candidates may proceed towards the further admission process.
IIST 2024 Rank List Tie-Breaking Criteria
In case if candidates obtained same marks in the exam then follow the given tie-breaking rule:
- Candidates who will obtain higher marks in Mathematics will be assigned the higher rank.
- If still the tie did not break, the higher rank assigned to the student will obtain greater marks in Physics.
- If the tie does not break after this, the higher rank will be assigned to the candidates who will secure higher marks in JEE Main 2024 examination, in a respective category.
IIST 2024 Cut-Off
The IIST 2024 cut-off will be released through online mode. The cut-off marks will be the minimum marks that candidates must score to proceed for further admission procedure. Students will have to obtain a minimum cut-off to be eligible for the entry.
Cut-off list will be published based on the performance, rank, category, interview and availability of seats etc. Once the candidate qualifies the entrance exam with a minimum cut-off then they will be called for counseling. It will be mandatory for all the candidates to participate in the counseling process.
IIST 2024 Counseling
The counseling will be conducted through online mode. Students will be called for the counseling process on the basis of category wise rank list. Students will have to download their counseling call letter to appear in the counseling/ interview process.
During counseling, candidates must carry their documents for the verification. After document verification, candidates may choose the programme as per their preference in writing.
