PTU Exam 2024 Result has been published through online mode. The PTU (Punjab Technical University) is conducted by I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University. It is conducted to provide admission into various UG and PG  level programmes in the field of Engineering, Management, Pharmacy, Commerce, IT and Science. There is no entrance exam & admission will be given to candidates on the basis of merit scores. The result of PTU 2024 exam has been released on website after few days of examination. Candidates are able to access their result by using their login credentials. Result has been released in the form of merit list.

Merit List will be published in pdf format. It contains names of qualified students. Further, whose name will present in merit list will have to participate in counselling procedure.

How to Download PTU Exam 2024 Result

Following are the steps to download PTU exam result 2024:

• Click on given link to view the result.
• Login by entering the user ID and password.
• The result will be displayed on screen.
• Download the result in PDF format. 
• Take a few prints out of it for future use.

PTU 2024 Merit List

The merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained by candidates. It will consist of the names of qualified candidates who will be eligible to appear for the counseling procedure. The authority will release common merit list for general as well as reserved candidates. 

If in case when two or more candidates scored equal marks, then the decision will be taken by preparing inter- se- merit. For counseling round, students will be invited as per order of merit list.

PTU 2024 Result Tie- Breaking Criteria

In case when two or more candidates score same marks in the entrance exam, then authority will follow the tie-breaking criteria. The authority will determine the rank of candidate, marks in various subjects, age of candidate, category of candidate and many other factors while deciding the rank of candidate.

PTU Exam 2024 Cut-Off

The cut-off will be released separately for each course. Authority will not declare cut-off marks, they will only release the closing ranks for admission. It will be mandatory for candidates to obtain the cut-off scores to get eligible for admission. It will depend upon the various factors such as availability of seats, number of candidates appearing in exam, reservation criteria and many other factors. 

Candidates will be able to check the cut- off through online mode from the website. Students may also check the last year cut-off and make estimations about their chances of admission. Applicants may check the category- wise and course- wise cut-off.

PTU 2024 Counseling

Counseling of PTU exam has been started after declaration of the JEE Main result for B.Tech courses. The registration for counseling started from 24th May 2024. Candidates need to fill the registration form at the time of counseling. 

Authority conducts centralized counseling with all other universities. Students need to reach an allotted center on a given time period. The counseling procedure consist of registration, fee payment, choice filling etc. 

Fee Payment– Applicants need to submit the counseling fee of Rs 2000/- via Debit card, Credit card and Net banking.

Online Registration– After submitting the counseling fee, register by providing the basic details such as name, qualification etc.

Choice Filling- One must fill the college choices as per prescribed schedule based on your preference. 

Seat Allotment- The seat allotment has been made by an authority depending on aspirant rank and preferences provided. Candidates are able to check the allotment process by using login credentials. The message will be sent to registered mobile number.

Reporting- After seat allotment process, students must report at the allotted college for document verification and admission procedure. Candidates must carry a following documents mentioned below:

• Class 10th and 12th marksheet.
• Birth certificate
• Degree certificate
• Seat allotment letter
• Character certificate
• Residence certificate
• Counseling fee deposit slip
