PGIMER Nursing 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the PGIMER Nursing Eligibility Criteria 2026 by the application deadline:

For B. Sc Nursing:

• Gender: Female students will be considered eligible to apply for admission.
• Age Limit: Applicants minimum and maximum age should 17 and 35 years as of 1st September 2026.
• Qualification: Students should qualify their 12th level or equivalent exam from a recognized board.
• Marks: A minimum of 45% aggregate marks (40% in case of SC/ ST/ OBC) will be required in the qualifying exam.
• Subjects: Candidates must have Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English as a compulsory subjects in 12th grade.
• Appearing: Candidates appearing for qualifying examination in 2026 will also be eligible to apply.

For B. Sc Nursing (Post-Basic):

• Age Limit: The upper age of applicants must not exceed 45 years as of 1st September 2026.
• Qualification: To be eligible, one must have passed 12th grade or equivalent examination from a recognized board.
• Marks Criteria: Students must score at least 50% marks in General Nursing and Midwifery to be eligible to apply.
• Registration: Applicants must have completed their registration as a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife with State Nursing Council approved by Indian Nursing Council (INC).

For M. Sc Nursing:

• Qualification: One must hold a B.Sc Nursing or B.Sc Nursing (Post-Basic) degree from an institution recognized by the relevant State Nursing Registration Council.
• Marks Criteria: Candidates must have obtained a minimum of 55% marks in their graduation to apply.
• Registration: Applying candidates should be a Registered Nurse or Registered Midwife with State Nursing Council to apply.
• Experience: Students must have at least one year of work experience in a hospital, Public Health Nursing, or Nursing Educational Institutions recognized by State Nursing Council.

PGIMER Nursing 2026 Admit Card

A week prior to the entrance exam, the institute will issue PGIMER Nursing Admit Card 2026 to candidates who have successfully submitted their registration form. Hall tickets will be issued via online mode through candidate’s login.

Admit cards for PGIMER Nursing 2026 exam will be accessible in fourth week of June 2026 for M.Sc Nursing program, and in fourth week of July 2026 for B.Sc Nursing and Post-Basic Nursing programs. Candidates must present their admit card to be allowed entry into the examination hall.

PGIMER Nursing 2026 Result

PGIMER Nursing Result 2026 will be declared for all exam appearing candidates through online mode. Students will be able to check their results for M.Sc Nursing in second week of July 2026. For B.Sc Nursing and Post-Basic Nursing, result will be declared in second week of August 2026. 

An overall merit list will be compiled using the percentile scores of all candidates, irrespective of category. Selection of candidates will be strictly based on their rank in the merit list.

PGIMER Nursing 2026 Cut Off

After the declaration of result, the authority will publish the PGIMER Nursing Cut Off 2026 via online mode. The cut off will comprise of the minimum scores required by candidates to qualify for admission.

Cut off marks will be evaluated based on factors including no. of students appearing, available seats, exam difficulty & candidate performance. The minimum qualifying scores required by an applicant will be 50th percentile (45th percentile for SC/ST/OBC & PwD categories).

PGIMER Nursing 2026 Counselling

The authority will organize an offline counselling procedure in various rounds for candidates securing a rank in the merit list. Counselling for M.Sc Nursing will begin in the fourth week of July 2026. 

PGIMER Nursing counselling 2026 for B.Sc Nursing & Post Basic Nursing will occur in the third week of August 2026. Eligible candidates must go to their assigned center with required documents for verification and payment of admission fee.
