NEET Counselling Update: The NEET UG 2025 counselling session is ongoing, and today, on 05th August 2025, the Medical Counselling Committee has announced a pause for the medical counselling.
On 21st July 2025, the NEET 2025 counselling was started, and till today, the MCC has now thrice revised the dates for the UG medical counselling.
However, the MCC official website reads that “The Choice Filling & Choice Locking for Round-1 has been put on hold. The revised schedule will be announced shortly,” in the morning.
As per the latest NEET revised counselling schedule, the choice filling for round-1 extended up to 08:00 A.M of 7th Aug, 2025, and choice locking for round-1 is available from 08:00 P.M. of 6th August 2025 up to 08:00 A.M of 7th Aug, 2025.
What is the new update of NEET 2025?
In a latest update for NEET 2025, the MCC has put a pause on the round 1 counselling, and the reason behind the hold is not disclosed. On the evening of 05th August 2025, MCC has released the thrice-Revised counselling schedule.

Originally, the NEET UG 2025 choice filling and locking was scheduled to be held from 22nd July, 2025 to 28th July, 2025; however then the round 1 schedule was revised. Below is the last revised NEET counselling schedule:
