The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has recently collaborated with All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi, to launch an adolescent wellness programme.
This well initiative is named Project MATE (Mind Activation Through Education). This is going to be an offline training program with an objective to strengthen the role of school counsellors in supporting students.
The CBSE & AIIMS Delhi project MATE has officially begun today, and around 50 counsellors and wellness teachers are taking part.

CBSE & AIIMS Delhi Project MATE is being conducted for 05 days from 26th August 2025 to 30th August 2025. The venue is AIIMS Delhi.
Developed by experts at AIIMS, Project MATE follows the “MATE-5” framework, aimed at helping adolescents build resilience, manage stress, and strengthen peer connections. The training sessions cover a wide range of topics, including the biopsychosocial model of health, nutrition, family dynamics, anxiety management, digital well-being, and effective counselling strategies.
The programme is being facilitated by specialists in psychiatry, psychology, and communication, ensuring a comprehensive approach to adolescent mental wellness.
