• VIT AP 2026 application form has been released for various UG & PG courses. 
• Candidates can submit the registration form through online mode, no offline mode is available. 
• To avoid rejection of form, candidates must fulfill the complete eligibility criteria mentioned below. 
• Register yourself first by providing the name, gender, category, address & other required information. 
• Fill the application form with details such as personal, communication details, academic qualification, etc. 
• Complete the process by uploading the scanned documents within a prescribed size & format. 
• During the form filling process, candidates must be careful as the authority may or may not provide  correction facility for rectification. 
• The deadline to submit the registration form will be till 31st March 2026. 
• Recheck the form & take a hardcopy of the application form for further usage in admission. 

Application Fee: 

• VIT AP 2026 application fee is of Rs. 1350/- for every category.
• Candidates can submit the fee using online mode only.

• Application fee is non-refundable under any circumstances.

VIT AP 2026 Eligibility Criteria

For B.Tech Course: 

• Nationality: Candidates should be a Resident/ Non-Resident Indian National/ PIO/ OCI to apply. 
• Qualification: Applying candidates should have passed class 12th exam from a recognized board of India to be eligible. 
• Age Limit: Applicants must be born on or after 1st July 2004 to be eligible for the exam. 
• Marks: In qualifying exam, candidates must score 60% marks aggregate & 50% marks for SC/ ST category & candidates of state of Jammu and Kashmir/ Ladakh and the Northeastern states. 
• Subject: To be eligible, candidates must have Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/ Biology subjects. 
• Appearing: Candidates appearing in the qualifying exam in 2026 will also be eligible to apply for the exam. 

For Integrated M.Tech Course:  

• Nationality: Applying candidates must be resident of India. 
• Qualification: Candidates must have passed Higher Secondary exam from a recognized board. 
• Marks: In qualifying exam, candidates are required to obtain at least 65% aggregate marks (60% aggregate marks for reserved category candidates). 
• Age Limit: Candidates must be born on or after 1st July 2006 to be eligible for admission. 
• Subject: To be eligible for admission, candidates must have Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM). 

VIT AP 2026 Admission Procedure 

Shortlisted candidates will be eligible to participate in VIT AP 2026 admission procedure. It will be organized through online mode. Selection of candidates for B.tech program will be based on the rank secured by the candidates in entrance exam (VITEEE 2026). 

Admission to other programs will be provided based on the merit list of the qualifying exam. Seats will be allocated to the candidates based on the candidates rank, preference of campus and programme. University will also provide the provisional admission letter to the selected candidates via online mode. 

VIT AP 2026 Entrance Exam (VITEEE)

VIT University conducts its own entrance exam called VITEEE to provide admission into undergraduate engineering courses. Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE) exam will be conducted through online (CBT) mode. 

A total of 2 hours and 30 minutes will be given to solve the exam. Candidates will have to solve 125 questions in total. There will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) asked in the exam. Question paper will be available in English medium only. For each correct answer, 4 marks will be awarded. There will be a negative marking of 1 mark for each incorrect response.  

VIT AP 2026 Merit Scholarship

University will provide the merit scholarship to the candidates based on their performance in academic report & personal interview.

For GV Merit Scholarship, Any board topper across the country will get 100% scholarship for all the year of the UG degree programmes (B.Com & B.A). For Tmt. Rajeswari Ammal Merit Scholarship, any district topper across the country will get 50% scholarship for all year of UG degree programme. If district topper is a girl, she will get an additional 25% scholarship (making it 75% scholarship).

For PG Non-Engineering Programmes, 100% full merit scholarship to a candidate who have secured CGPA of 9.0 or 90% and above (whichever is applicable) in the 6 semesters/ Three Years of qualifying UG examination. For Rajeswari PG Merit Scholarship, 50% scholarship to a candidate who secured CGPA of 8.0 or 80% and above in the 6 semesters/ Three Years of the qualifying UG examination and an additional 25% for a girl candidate making it a 75% scholarship. 

VIT AP 2026 Counselling 

Counselling of VIT AP 2026 will be organized for qualified candidates. Candidates will be able to participate in counselling through online mode. Counselling process will be common for VIT group of Institutions. Those qualified candidates in entrance exam/ merit list will be eligible to participate in counselling procedure.

Candidates will have to submit the non-refundable (Rs.5900/-) counselling fee. In the counselling process, candidates will be able to select the campus/ programme/ fee category in counselling. Based on the rank obtained by the candidates in entrance exam/ qualifying exam, seats will be allocated to the candidates.

A provisional admission letter will be made available through online mode after submitting the fee. For the verification process, candidates will also be required to carry original & photocopies of documents during the reporting period. The list of documents is mentioned below in pointers:
