DES Pune University 2026 Eligibility Criteria

For B.Tech Course: 

• Qualification: Applying candidates must pass 10+2 Diploma in Engineering/ Technology or equivalent examination from a recognized board. 
• Marks: In qualifying exam, candidates must obtain at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of reserved category) to apply. 
• Subjects: Candidates must pass Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subjects/ Agriculture, etc in the qualifying exam. 
• Scores: Candidates must have valid scores in JEE Main/ MHT CET/ PERA, etc to apply. 

For MBA Course: 

• Qualification: Candidates must have three years of graduation degree in any stream from a UGC approved institution/ university to apply. 
• Marks: In qualifying exam, candidates must score minimum 50% aggregate marks for general category & 45% aggregate marks for candidates belonging to the reserved category. 
• Scores: Candidates can apply based on CAT, XAT, NMAT, GMAT, PERA, CMAT, ATMA, MAT, SNAP, MAH CET, Remote proctored online DES PU PCET exam & any other test as per AICTE guidelines. 

For B.Des Course: 

• Qualification: Candidates must pass 10+2 (SSC/ ISC/ CBSE/ NIOS/ State Board) class 12th or equivalent exam from a government approved institution to apply. 
• Marks: In qualifying exam, one must score minimum 50% aggregate marks for general category & 45% marks in case of reserved category candidates belonging to Maharashtra state only. OR 
• Diploma in any stream with minimum 60% marks can also be considered. 
• Scores: Candidates can also apply based on marks obtained in UCEED/ NIFT/ NATA/ NID/ PERA conducted/ Remote Proctored Online DES PU UCET Exam. 

DES Pune University 2026 Admission Procedure 

Qualified candidates in the entrance exam will be able to participate in DES Pune University 2026 admission procedure through online mode. Candidates will be selected for various UG & PG level courses based on rank secured in university/ national or state level entrance exams such as DES PU UCET/ PCET or JEE Main/ GATE/ PERA/ MHT CET/ CAT/ XAT/ NATA, etc. 

Selected candidates will receive a provisional offer of admission on the registered email ID via online mode. Selected candidates will have to submit the prescribed amount of fee along with the original documents for verification procedure. 

DES Pune University 2026 Entrance Exam 

DES Pune University conducts its own entrance exam through online mode. DES PU UCET/ PCET entrance exam is conducted on 16th February 2026. In the entrance exam, there will be two sections in exam Section I & Section II. 

There will be no negative marking in the entrance exam. Exam duration is one hour as per the date and time slot. UCET (Undergraduate Common Entrance Test) is conducted for UG courses & PCET (Postgraduate Common Entrance Test) for PG. Those qualified candidates in the entrance exam will be able to participate in further admission procedures. 

DES Pune University 2026 Result/ Merit List 

Result for DES Pune University 2026 will be announced through online mode. The result will be evaluated based on the candidate’s performance in the entrance exam. Candidates will have to use their login credentials on the website to download the result. 

University will release the result for both UG & PG courses on different dates. Those candidates whose name will appear on the merit list will be eligible to participate in the admission procedure. Candidates must keep the hardcopy of the result safe for further usage. 

DES Pune University 2026 Cut Off

DES Pune University 2026 Counselling 

Counselling procedure for DES Pune University 2026 will be conducted through online mode. Those qualified candidates in the entrance exam will be eligible to participate in counselling rounds. Allotment of seats will be carried out strictly on the basis of merit as per selection criteria and availability of seats of respective programme. 

All selected candidates will be required to confirm their admission by paying the seat reservation fee within the stipulated time. Payment of this fee signifies acceptance of the programme and seat allotment by the university. As requested for rescheduling or changing the admission confirmation dates will not be entertained under any circumstances. After allotting the seats, candidates will be required to personally bring original hard copies of all relevant documents of DES PU for verification by the admission department within the prescribed timeline.
