• IIST 2026 registration is live on 26th May 2026 for various UG courses. 
• Candidates will be able to submit their application form via online mode, no offline method will be available. 
• Application form for PG Courses will be available from May 2026. 
• During form filling, one must enter the details such as personal, academic qualification, address, communication & other required information. 
• Before applying online, candidates must go through the eligibility norms below. 
• After form filing, upload the scanned documents such as photograph, signature, category, certificate, marksheet, etc in prescribed format & size. 
• Candidates must be careful while filing the form, as authority will not provide any facility to make corrections in form after submission.
• The IIST 2026 registration last date will be till 10th June 2026. 
• Submit the form & do not forget to take a hardcopy of registration form for further usage in admission.

IIST 2026 Eligibility Criteria 

Complete details related to IIST eligibility norms 2026 is mentioned below: 

For UG Courses: 

• Nationality: Candidates of Indian citizens or holding OCI/PIO cards will be eligible to apply. 
• Age Limit: To apply, candidates must be born on or after 1st October 2001. A relaxation of 5 years will be applicable for reserved category candidates. 
• Qualification: Applying candidates must have completed 12th standard or its equivalent from a recognized board. 
• Marks: In qualifying exam, candidates need to secure a minimum of 75% marks for general & 65%r marks for reserved category candidates. 
• Subjects: Candidates must have Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics as a compulsory subjects in 12th standard along with any one language subject. 
• Scorecard: To apply for IIST admission, candidates must hold a valid scorecard of JEE Advanced 2026 exam. 

For PG Courses: 

• Age Limit: Applying candidate’s upper age must be 32 years and 45 years ISRO/ DOS sponsored candidates as on 2nd May 2026. 
• Qualification: To be eligible, candidates must possess a BE, B.Tech, M.Sc, or an equivalent degree from recognized university. 
• Marks: In qualifying degree, candidates must score at least 60% marks (55% marks for SC/ST and PwD category) to be eligible. 
• Scores: Applying candidates will be required to possess a valid scorecard from JEST/ GATE exam to apply for the exam.

• On the homepage, press the “UG/ PG programme” & click on “New User to register- Click here” Option. 
• Start with the registration process by entering the details such as name, date of birth, email ID, etc. 
• An email will be sent with a link to confirm the email ID & generate the login IG for further process. 
• Now login using allotted details to start filling the application form. 
• Fill the form with details such as personal, academic qualifications, communication & other details. 
• After form filling, upload the scanned documents such as photograph, signature, category certificate, & other documents in prescribed format. 
• Candidates will have to upload the documents in JPG/JPEG format only. 
• Recheck the details once before proceeding towards another page. 
• Submit the prescribed amount of application fee as per your category. 
• Choose the online payment options & press the “Submit” button. 
• A confirmation page will appear on the screen after submitting the fee.
