Mumbai University 2026 Eligibility Criteria

For UG Courses: 

• Qualification: To apply, candidates must have passed class 12th or equivalent from any recognized board. 
• Marks: In the qualifying exam, candidates must secure at least 45% marks (40% marks for reserved category candidates). 
• Subject: Candidates must have Physics, chemistry, Biology/ mathematics in class 12th to apply for admission. 
• Appearing: Those appearing candidates in the qualifying exam in 2026 can also apply. 

For PG Course: 

• Qualification: Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from any recognized university or board to apply. 
• Marks: In qualifying exam, candidates must score at least 50% marks (45% marks for reserved category candidates) to apply. 
• Appearing: Candidates appearing in the qualifying exam can also apply for admission. 

Mumbai University 2026 Admission Procedure 

In Mumbai University 2026 admission procedure, there will be various steps such as completion of application form, eligibility, examination & counselling procedure. Based on the marks obtained by the candidates in the qualifying exam or university level entrance exam, the admission procedure will be done. 

Those shortlisted candidates in result will be called for final admission procedure. Based on the merit list drawn by the university, the candidates will be selected for admission.  

Mumbai University 2026 Entrance Exam 

For Management & Law Programmes, Mumbai University conducts its own entrance exam. MUCMET will be conducted for management courses & MUCLAT is conducted for Law courses. Exam will be conducted through offline mode.

It will consist of the name & ranks of the candidates who qualify the entrance exam. Second merit list will be released on 30th May 2026 via online mode. Candidates are suggested to keep the result safe as it will be required for further usage in admission. Different merit lists will be drawn for different category candidates.
