AIIMS PG 2025 Syllabus

The syllabus for AIIMS PG 2025 will be released by the AIIMS examination authority. The syllabus consists of topics from the subjects studied by the candidate at MBBS level. For MDS course, the syllabus of entrance test covers the topics related to the subjects studied at BDS level.

AIIMS PG 2025 exam contains questions from MBBS level syllabus for MD/ MS and BDS. For MD/ MS and MDS, the entrance test will contain various subjects from three phases – Para-clinical, pre-clinical and clinical phase.

AIIMS PG Syllabus 2025

The subjects covered under all the three phases asked in the AIIMS PG 2025 exam will be as follows:

Pre-Clinical Phase:

  • Anatomy: Gross anatomy, Neuroanatomy, Microanatomy, Embryology and Genetics etc.
  • Bio-chemistry: Biological cell, Enzymes, Biomolecules, Metabolic pathways, their regulation and metabolic interrelationships, Food assimilation and nutrition, Hormones, Molecular Biology, pH, Buffer, physiological buffer systems, Immunology, Environmental biochemistry, cancer and cancer makers.
  • Physiology: General Physiology, Nerve–Muscle, Blood, concept of Respiratory System, Cardiovascular System, Gastrointestinal System, Nutrition, Environmental Physiology, Reproduction, Kidney, Neurophysiology – General, Sensory system, Motor system, Special Senses, Visceral and motivational system, EEG, sleep and higher nervous functions, Yoga.

Para-Clinical Phase:

  • Community medicine: Epidemiology of communicable diseases, Epidemiology of chronic non communicable disease and all the conditions, medicine and counterfeit medicine, Demography and family planning, preventive medicine in obstetrics, paediatrics and geriatrics, effectiveness of communication for health education.
  • Forensic Medicine: Aesthetic and operative death, methods of investigation, toxicological examination, death occurrence, different medical practice laws, definition of toxicology, classification of poisons etc.
  • Pharmacology: Sections of Biochemistry- Gross anatomy, Microanatomy, Embryology and Genetics, Neuroanatomy etc.
  • Pathology: Drug-receptor interactions, signal transduction mechanisms, calcium, process of calmodulin-dependent, protein phosphorylation and membrane transport, drug-enzyme interactions, pharmacology of antibiotics, immune responses, regulation of gene expression etc
  • Microbiology: Antimicrobial Resistance, Environmental Microbiology, Microbiomes, Food Microbiology, Pathogenicity & Virulence, Biotechnology & Synthetic Biology, etc.

Clinical Phase:

    • Community Medicine: Epidemiology of communicable diseases, Epidemiology of chronic non communicable disease and conditions, Demography and family planning, Preventive medicine in obstetrics, paediatrics and geriatrics, Communication for health education, etc
    • Obstetrics: Adverse Drug Events Reporting, Exercise and Sports Medicine, Health Diversity, HPV and Cervical Cancer, Immunization, Infertility, Medical Malpractice and Legal Issues, etc
    • Pediatrics & Gynaecology: Variety of health conditions regarding common paediatric gynecological and its complaints such as Intersex conditions, Amenorrhea, Vulvovaginitis, etc.
  • Surgery and allied subjects (E.N.T., Anesthesiology, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics)
  • Medicine and allied subjects (Psychiatry, Dermatology)
  • Clinical postings

AIIMS PG 2025 Exam Pattern

AIIMS PG 2025 exam pattern details will be as mentioned below:

  • AIIMS PG 2025 Exam will be organised through computer based online test.
  • The multiple choice questions (MCQs) will be asked in paper.
  • The no. of questions asked in the paper will be different for MD/MS & MDS. For MD/MS, 200 questions will be asked and 80 questions will be asked in MDS exam.
  • The time duration to complete the examination for MD/MS will be of 3 hours and for MDS it will be 90 minutes.
  • The question paper of MD/MS will comprise of 200 marks and 80 marks in MDS.
  • 1/3 marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer.
  • 1 mark will be awarded for every correct answer.

Candidates can prepare for AIIMS PG 2025 according to the below mentioned tips:

  • A proper timetable should be prepared by the candidates.
  • Candidates must prepare as per the prescribed exam pattern and the syllabus of the exam.
  • Candidates must clear the basic concepts to solve any trickiest question.
  • Candidates must attempt an online mock test to evaluate their speed of solving questions.
  • Candidates should solve previous year’s papers and sample papers to improve their knowledge and to familiarize with different types of questions.
