Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) is an autonomous institution which conducts its own national level entrance exam for admission in PG Diploma and Certificate Courses in TV & Film Wings. The authority conducts Joint Entrance Test (JET) every year to provide admission in courses like Direction and Screenplay Writing, Acting, Video Editing, Animation Cinema, etc.

FTII 2025 Application Form
Candidates must read carefully all the necessary instructions before filling the FTII Application Form 2025:
- FTII 2025 application form will be made available through online mode.
- The authority will release the registration form in third week of March 2025.
- Candidates must ensure that they fulfil all the essential qualifications and other requirements for the courses they are applying for.
- All the basic details like name, email ID, mobile number, qualification and other personal details must be filled carefully in the application form.
- Upload scanned copies of necessary documents like candidates photograph, signature, marksheets etc in prescribed format.
- Application form of FTII 2025 will be submitted till third week of April 2025.

Application Fee:
- Application fee can be accepted through online modes of payment only.
- Fees paid by candidates is non-refundable, non-transferable and non-adjustable under any circumstances.

How to Apply for FTII 2025
Follow the given steps to apply for FTII 2025:
- Step-1: Visit the website link (link will be provided above).
- Step-2: Search for FTII Fee Account tab and click on it.
- Step-3: Then, click on “FTII Examination-TV Wings 2025 Batch”.
- Step-4: Fill all the asked details like name, date of birth, email ID, Mobile number and select the course you wish to apply.
- Step-5: Submit the online application fee through SB portal.
- Step-6: Now, fill the application form with details like personal, qualification and others.
- Step-7: Upload all the required documents like photograph and signature in prescribed form.
- Step-8: At last, preview and submit the application form and also take a printout of it for future usage.
FTII 2025 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must ensure that they fulfil the following FTII Eligibility Criteria 2025:
3 Year Post Graduate Diploma Programme:
- Direction and Screenplay Writing, Cinematography, Sound Recording and Sound Design, Editing: Candidates must have completed their Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university or equivalent.
- Art Direction & Production Design: Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in Applied Arts, Architecture, Painting, Sculpture, Interior Design or related fields in Fine Arts or equivalent diploma from a recognized institute.
- Candidates appearing in their final year of bachelor’s degree or those who are awaiting for their result will be able to apply.
2 Year Post Graduate Diploma Programme:
- Screen Acting & Screenwriting: A bachelor’s degree in any discipline from any recognised university or equivalent will be required to be eligible to apply.
- Candidates waiting for their graduation result will also be eligible to apply.
1 Year Post Graduate Certificate Programme:
- Sound Recording and TV Engineering, Video Editing, Electronic Cinematography, Editing: One must hold a bachelor’s degree in any relevant field from any recognised university to be eligible for admission.
- Candidates expecting their result of qualifying examination to be declared in the year of admission will also be eligible to apply.
FTII 2025 Exam Pattern
Below we have mentioned the FTII Exam Pattern 2025:
- Mode of Exam: Exam will be held via offline (PBT) mode.
- Duration of Exam: A total of 3 hours will be given to solve paper.
- Type of Question: Candidates will be asked Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) & Descriptive Type Questions.
- Total Questions: The question paper will consist of 30 MCQs and 7 Descriptive Type Questions.
- Total Marks: The question paper will carry a total of 100 marks.
- Marking Scheme: For each correct answer, 1 mark will be added.
- Negative Marking: There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks (i.e 25%) for each incorrect answer.

FTII 2025 Exam Centres

FTII 2025 Admit Card
The admit card of FTII 2025 will be issued for all the candidates who have successfully filled the registered form. The hall ticket will be issued to candidates through online mode on the website of authority. It will be tentatively made available in fourth week of March 2025.
FTII Admit Card 2025 is an important document which a candidate will need to produce at the time of examination. The admit card will contain details like name of candidates, roll number, exam date and venue, some important guidelines that candidate must follow etc.
FTII 2025 Result
FTII Result 2025 will be declared by authority through online mode. Candidates will be able to view their result in the fourth week of June 2025.. The candidates will be required to enter their login credentials in the website to download their result.
The authority will prepare the result of candidates based on the marks scored by them in FTII Exam 2025. On the basis of performance of candidates in FTII exam, they will be called for interview and admission procedures.
FTII 2025 Cut Off
FTII Cut Off 2025 will be declared by authority a few days after the declaration of results. Candidates will be able to check the separate category-wise cut off marks of FTII 2025 through online mode.
The cut off list consists of minimum passing marks that will be mandatory for candidates to achieve in order to be considered for admission. The cut off secured by candidates will decide whether they are eligible for admission to FTII 2025 or not.

FTII 2025 Merit List
The authority will publish a joint merit list of FTII 2025 based on marks scored by candidates in written test, orientation and interview rounds of each stage carrying weightage of 20%, 50% and 30%, respectively. The merit list of eligible candidates will be released by candidates after the declaration of result.
The authority will publish it through online mode on their website. Once the merit list gets published, candidates will have to provide their choices in order of their preferences. Based on the preferences and merit, candidates will be selected for admission in particular courses.
Reservation Criteria
The seats reservation percentage for various categories in FTII 2025 will be as follows:

FTII 2025 Admission
FTII Counselling 2025 will be organised by the authority in month of July/August 2025. On the basis of performance of candidates in Paper-I & Paper-II of FTII 2025, they will be shortlisted for admission followed by Audition (only for screen acting), Orientation and Interview round.
The orientation and interview rounds will be held via online mode and course-wise joint merit list will be published. For screen acting, candidates will have to appear for audition rounds which will be conducted via offline mode. Candidates must appear for both rounds as per the stipulated date and time.
During the interview round, the physical/psychological capability of candidates will be accessed by a board committee constituted by the authority for this purpose. Selected candidates will also have to undergo a medical fitness test. Candidates will have to bring their original documents for the purpose of verification and seat confirmation.
