AMU Exam Pattern 2019

Before exam preparation, candidates must know the complete exam pattern. The examination will be conducted through offline mode. Below, we are providing complete details about AMU 2019 exam pattern for different courses.

For B.Tech Course:

  • Exam Date: The exam will be conducted on 28th April 2019.
  • Number of Questions: In the examination, there will be 150 objective type questions.
  • Medium: The medium of all Tests shall be English, except where a question paper is set in a language other than English.
  • Total Marks: The question paper will be of 150 marks.
  • Subjects: The questions will be asked from Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics subjects.
  • Duration: The exam duration will be 3 hours.
  • Marking Scheme: For the correct answer, one mark will be given to the candidates.
  • Negative Marking: For incorrect answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted.

For B.Arch Course:

There will be two papers of equal weightage:

  • Paper 1: The exam pattern is same as B.Tech course. It is compulsory to appear in Paper 1.
  • Paper 2: It is an Architecture Aptitude Test. It will contain some descriptive questions and Test of Drawing.
  • Exam Date: The exam will be held in the second week of May 2019.
  • Duration: The duration of both examinations will be three hours.
  • Marking Scheme: One mark will be given for correct answer.
  • Negative Marking: For incorrect answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted.

For M.Tech Course:

  • Exam Date: The exam will be started from 1st week of June 2019 for different M.Tech specializations.
  • Medium: The medium of all Tests shall be English, except where a question paper is set in a language other than English.
  • Exam Duration: The exam duration will be 2 hours.
  • Type of Questions: There will be one objective type paper.
  • Marking Scheme: For the correct answer, one mark will be given to the candidates.
  • Negative Marking: For the incorrect answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted.

For Diploma Engineering:

  • Exam Date: The exam will be held on 21st April 2019.
  • Number of Questions: Total 100 objective type questions will be asked in the examination.
  • Medium: The medium of test will be English, Hindi and Urdu.
  • Total Marks: The question paper will be of 100 marks.
  • Subjects: The question will be asked from Science, Mathematics, G.K. & Indo-Islamic Culture.
  • Duration: The exam duration will be 2 hours.
  • Language: The question paper will be asked in three languages, i.e. English, Hindi & Urdu.
  • Marking Scheme: One mark will be given to the candidates for correct answer.
  • Negative Marking:25 marks will be deducted for incorrect response.

  • Subjects: English, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Biology & Home Science.

Note: English, Chemistry & Physics are compulsory. Choice has to attempt any one subjects from Mathematics, Biology & Home Science.

BA (Hons.)
  • Subjects: English :25 marks, Indo-Islamic Culture and Aligarh Movement: 25 marks, General Awareness & Current Affairs: 40 marks, Reasoning and Intelligence: 10 marks.
BFA (Bachelor of Fine Arts)
  • Two Papers.
  • Paper 1: 50 Objective Type Theory Paper of 100 marks. (Duration: 1 hours 30 minutes)

BA LLB
  • 75 objective type questions.
  • 10 short answer type questions.
  • Sections: General English, Current Affairs/General Knowledge (with emphasis on legal issues) & Reasoning and Aptitude.
B.Sc (Hons.)
  • 25 question each from English, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Biology & Home Science (only for girls).

Note: English, Chemistry & Physics are compulsory. Choice has to attempt any one subjects from Mathematics & Biology.

For Master Degree Courses:
