AMU Exam Pattern 2023

Candidates must go through following details regarding AMU 2023 Exam Pattern:

For CUET 2023:

  • Mode of Exam: CUET 2023 exam is conducted via computer based mode.
  • Type of Questions: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) will be asked in the question paper.
  • No. of Questions: There will be total of 100 questions in the examination.
  • Marking Scheme: 5 marks will be awarded for each correct answer.
  • Negative marking: 1 mark will get deduct for each wrong answer.

  • Medium:The medium of all Tests shall be English, except where a question paper will be set in a language other than English.
  • Total Marks:The question paper will be of 150 marks.
  • Subjects:The questions will be asked from Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics subjects.
  • Duration:The exam duration will be 3 hours.
  • Marking Scheme:For the correct answer, one mark will be given to the candidates.
  • Negative Marking:For incorrect answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted.

For B.Arch. Course:

There will be two papers of equal weightage:

  • Paper 1: The exam pattern will be same as B.Tech course. It will be compulsory to appear in Paper 1.
  • Paper 2: It will be an Architecture Aptitude Test. It will contain some descriptive questions and Test of Drawing.
  • Duration: The duration of both examinations will be three hours.
  • Marking Scheme: One mark will be given for correct answer.
  • Negative Marking: For incorrect answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted.

B.Sc. (Hons.) Home Science (Agricultural Sciences)Subjects: English, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Biology & Home Science.

Note: English, Chemistry & Physics are compulsory. Choice has to attempt any one subjects from Mathematics, Biology & Home Science.

BA (Hons.)Subjects: English: 25 marks, Indo-Islamic Culture and Aligarh Movement: 25 marks, General Awareness & Current Affairs: 40 marks, Reasoning and Intelligence: 10 marks.
BFA (Bachelor of Fine Arts)Two Papers

Paper 1: 50 Objective Type Theory Paper of 100 marks. (Duration: 1 hours 30 minutes)

Paper 2: Practical (Still Life in Pencil (3D)) of 200 marks. (Duration: 2 hours)

B.Com (Hons.)25 questions from English.

20 questions from Accountancy.

15 questions from Business Studies.

10 question each from Economics, Elementary Mathematics & Statistics, Reasoning, Numerical Ability and General Awareness.

BA LLB75 objective type questions.

10 short answer type questions.

Sections: General English, Current Affairs/General Knowledge (with emphasis on legal issues) & Reasoning and Aptitude.

B.Sc. (Hons.)25 question each from English, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Biology, & Home Science (only for girls).

Note: English, Chemistry & Physics will be compulsory. Choice has to attempt any one subjects from Mathematics & Biology.

For Master Degree Courses:

  • Medium: The medium of all Tests shall be English, except where a question paper is set in a language other than English.

M. Tech in Agricultural Process and Food Engineering30 questions on General Awareness and 70 questions relevant to the subject.
M.Sc. (Home Science) (Only for Females)Total 80 questions.

MA (Philosophy)/MA (Hindi)/MA (English)Two Papers

Paper 1: 70 Objective Type Questions of 140 marks.

Paper 2: 10 Short Answer Type Questions of 60 marks.

MFA (Master of Fine Arts)Two Papers.

Paper 1: Theory Paper comprising 60 questions (Objective Type Questions: 50 & Descriptive Type Questions: 10). 50 marks of each.

Paper 2: Practical (Drawing from Life: 100 marks & Composition: 100 marks)

LLMThe paper will be of total 100 marks.

Paper will consist of 50% objective type of questions and 50% subjective type of questions.

Syllabus of test for both objective and subjective type of questions will be set from subjects taught at LLB / BA. LLB standard.

M.Sc. (Biochemistry)/ M.Sc. (Botany)/ M.Sc. (Zoology)/Total 80 questions.

70 Objective Type Questions of 140 marks.

10 Short Answer Type Questions of 60 marks.

    I have given exam for bsc Hons in Amu ….I have attempted physics chemistry English which are compulsory…other than these subjects I have also attempted bio n home science ………will there be problem in my admission …..as I have attempted home science also……
