Punjab B.Tech Admission 2024 will be started soon. It will be organised by the IKGPTU based on 12th scores. Punjab state is situated in the northern part of India. Admission Procedure
Various colleges and institutions of Punjab give admissions through national level or university level examinations. In case of vacant seats, spot admissions will also be done on the basis of merit list. No state level entrance will be organized for B.Tech admissions.
Entrance Exams
Students can apply for admission in engineering courses on the basis of JEE Main scores. JEE Main 2024 is a national level entrance, which will be organized by NTA board for admission in B.Tech & B.Arch programmes.

Before applying for admission, students must check their eligibility for the respective course. The eligibility criteria for JEE Main exam is mentioned below:
- Students who have passed 12th or equivalent are eligible to apply.
- Diploma holders are also eligible to apply.
- Candidates must have physics, chemistry and mathematics subjects in the qualifying exam.
- Candidates appearing in the qualifying exam can also apply.
- There is no age limit prescribed to apply for JEE Main 2024 exam.
Selection Procedure
Admissions will be done on the basis of merit list. Merit will be prepared on the basis marks secured in the entrance test or the qualifying exam. Preference will be given to those candidates who secure higher rank in the merit list. Candidates have to fill their choices of colleges and courses during the counselling process. Seat allotment will be done as per the rank, filled choices, category and availability of seats.
