How to Apply for CENTAC 2024

Following are the steps given to fill the CENTAC 2024 application form:

  • Step-1: Visit the website (link will be given above).
  • Step-2: First candidate has to create the login details by entering valid mobile number and Email ID.
  • Step-3: Then candidates shall create a new password for online registration purpose.
  • Step-4: Fill the application form with details such as personal, educational qualification, contact details, etc.
  • Step-5: Upload the scanned passport size photograph (20 to 50 KB) and signature (20 KB to 50 KB) and other documents.
  • Step-6: Click on “Make Payment” and candidates can pay the fee using online mode.
  • Step-7: Take the printout of the application form for further use.

CENTAC 2024 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for CENTAC 2024 is provided below:

For B. Tech Course:

  • Qualification: The candidates must pass 12th level or equivalent conducted by Board of Higher Secondary Examination of Tamil Nadu or equivalent from any recognized board.
  • Subject: In qualifying exam candidates must pass in Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subject with one of the Chemistry, Computer Science, Informatics Practices.
  • Marks: The minimum marks candidates must score at least 45% aggregate marks (40% marks for OBC/ SC/ ST).

For MBBS/ BDS Courses:

  • Qualification: Candidates must qualify H.Sc./ 12th class exam conducted by Board of Higher Secondary exam of Tamil Nadu or any other equivalent.
  • Marks: In qualifying exam, candidates must score 50% marks (40% marks for SC/ ST/ OBC/ EBC) for admission.
  • Subject: The candidates must pass in subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, Botany and Zoology.

CENTAC 2024 Merit List

The CENTAC 2024 Merit List will be published in second week of August 2024 through online mode. Merit list will be made available based on qualifying rank in which reservation policy of U.T. of Puducherry will be applied for all qualified candidates. The merit list will include a list of all those candidates who will be allowed for admission to various participating institutes for B.Tech courses.

The Centralised Admission Committee will first publish the draft merit list and candidates will have an opportunity to object the draft merit list. After solving the raised objections, the authority will publish the final CENTAC merit list.

CENTAC 2024 Cut Off

For each course CENTAC cut off will be released separately. It will be the minimum score that candidates require to be eligible for admission in various UG and PG courses. The cut off will vary from institute to institute.

The authority will prepare the cut off based on qualifying exam. It will be determined by number of candidates, availability of seats, and the previous year’s cut off.

As per the norms of Puducherry Government, the reservation of offered seats will be decided by institutes itself for various courses offered by them. For reserved category, candidates are will also be eligible for selection under Open General category.

CENTAC 2024 Counselling

The CENTAC Counselling will commence from fourth week of August 2024. The online allotment will be done in two rounds. For Round 1, allotment will be based on candidate’s course preference, category of seats, reservation, and NEET rank. For Round 2, candidates will submit their willingness and registration fee.

The counselling will be organised through online mode. After publishing the provisional allotment list, candidates can download the allotment oder from dashboard using their login credentials. The candidates who will be allotted seats will be instructed to report to colleges with all required original certificate.

CENTAC 2024 Admission

The CENTAC 2024 Admission will be given on the basis of 12th qualifying exam scores and other national and state level entrance exam. For MBBS and BDS course, seats will be given on the basis of NEET scores. For engineering courses, seats will be allotted on the basis of JEE Main scores.

The candidates should report to the allotted college/ institutes with their original documents and registration fee. Documents will be verified before offering final admission to the candidates.
