The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) will provide a common platform & equal opportunities to all candidates across the country and also from rural & remote areas. It will be held in 154 test centres around the nation. The examination will be organized by the National Testing Agency (NTA) under the Ministry of Education (MoE). CUET exam for UG & PG level courses will be held separately. CUET 2023 Highlights

When will answer key released for CUET 2023 ? – Released on 29th June, Check answer key details

In which universities admission will be provided through CUET UG 2023 ? – It is a single window opportunity for students seeking admission into any of Central universities (CUs) or participating universities (including state, deemed & private universities).

New Changes Introduced in CUET 2023: –

  • Hike in CUET Application Fee, Check application fee details,
  • Increase in number of Exam slots: Till last year there were two exam slots, this year it has been increased to three exam slots,
  • Increase in number of subject choices: From this year, max 10 subjects choices can be applied for CUET UG
  • Number of questions reduced: This year, the number of questions to be attempted in section 2 and 3 has been reduced. However, section 1A & 1B has same pattern
  • Increase /Decrease in number of Exam cities: There is decrease in number of exam cities & centres within India. However, centres outside India have been increased.

CUET 2023 Answer Key

Candidates can check CUET UG 2023 answer key from 29th June 2023 for UG courses. It is available on website via online mode only. With the help of answer key, candidates can assume their marks even before the result declaration.

Answer key consists of all the answers of the questions asked in the question paper. Authority also give candidates a chance to challenge or make objection against answer key within limited time period. To raise objection, candidates also have to submit the fee. After objection periods get over, authority has also released final answer key.

CUET 2023 Result

Candidates can check CUET 2023 Result via online mode. No other mode is entertained to check result. To check result, candidates have to use their login credentials. For UG courses, it is made available from 15th July 2023.

The result has been published in the form of score card/ merit list. The merit list is prepared by the participating universities. Candidates can also check their rank secured, qualifying status & individual marks scored in each subject.

CUET 2023 Cut Off

Candidates will be able to know the CUET Cut Off 2023 via online mode. No other mode will be entertained to check cut off. To know cut off, candidates must visit website. It will be released separately for UG courses and separately for PG courses.

Students can check their cut off in the form of qualifying marks for subjects. The cut off will be decided depending upon various factors – numbers seats, number of candidates applied and appeared, etc.

CUET 2023 Counselling

CUET 2023 Counselling process will be held via online mode. It will be conducted by each participating CU’s. Universities will conduct individual counselling on the basis of CUET (UG) 2023 score card provided by the NTA.

For UG courses, it will be held in first week of July 2023 whereas for PG courses, it will be held in third week of August 2023. It will be mandatory for all qualified candidates to participate in the counselling process.

CUET FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)

Answer: The CUET UG application form has been released from 10th February 2023.

Answer: The syllabus will be based on 12th level subjects/ topics, so no pressure is on candidates to prepare for exam.

Answer: No, the application forms can only be submitted through online mode.

Answer: There will be Multiple-choice type of questions (MCQs) in the paper.

Answer: The exam will be conducted through CBT (computer based test) mode.

Answer: Yes, 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.

Answer: Applicant can apply for three test papers by payment of application fee and further he/ she can apply for additional test papers with payment of additional application fee. Care must be taken to select only one question paper in a slot.

Answer: No, candidates are required to submit single form if they are applying for separate universities /courses /test.

Candidates must go through following details regarding CUET 2023 application form:

  • The NTA authority has released CUET UG 2023 application form via online mode.
  • The application form for UG course has been released via online mode. No other mode is entertained to fill the form.
  • It has been released from 9th February till 30th March 2023 for UG level courses.
  • While filling application form, candidates must not forget to upload passport size photograph & signature in the prescribed format.
  • Candidates must ensure they fulfill each eligibility norms before filling the application form.
  • Authority also provide correction facility to edit incorrect details (if any) in the form.
  • The correction facility is provided to candidates from 1st to 3rd April 2023.
  • Once all details are completely filled, candidates must take printout of filled in application form for further use.

Application Fee:

  • Candidates can submit the application fee via online mode.
  • The mode of payment includes credit card, debit card or net banking or UPI payment mode.
  • The application fee is non-refundable in any case.

How to Apply for CUET 2023

  • Step-1: Visit the official website of CUET 2023.
  • Step-2: For fresh registration, click on “Registration” option.
  • Step-3: Go through complete instructions & procedure of online submission of form.
  • Step-4: Fill personal information & other asked details.
  • Step-5: Choose password & fill the security pin and submit other required details.
  • Step-6: Preview your details & enter OTP details.
  • Step-7: Now login using application no. & password.
  • Step-8: Fill the “University name & programme” of your choice.
  • Step-9: Select test paper & subject for first/ second slot of the examination.
  • Step-10: Select four exam centres as per your preference.
  • Step-11: Upload passport size photograph & signature in prescribed format.
  • Step-12: Re-check the details & then submit the fee as per no. of course.
  • Step-13: Now click on, “Submit” option.
  • Step-14: A confirmation page will appear on your screen, take its printout for future use.

CUET 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must check following eligibility norms before applying for CUET 2023:

  • Nationality: Indian National citizen will be eligible to apply.
  • Qualification: For UG, candidates must have qualified 12th level exam. Those failed in 1 or 2 subjects will b considered ineligible.
  • Age Limit: There will be no age limit to apply for CUET UG 2023 examination.

Note: The eligibility criteria may be unique as per different universities

CUET 2023 Admit Card

CUET 2023 admit card has been made available via online mode for both UG & PG level courses. It has been released separately for both courses. For UG courses, candidates can download the admit card from 19th May 2023.

To download hall ticket, candidates have to use their login credentials such as application number & passwords. Admit card contains all details such as candidate’s name, roll number, exam date, time & venue and all exam instructions. It is mandatory for all candidates to carry admit card at the exam venue.

CUET 2023 Exam Pattern

Candidates must check following points regarding CUET 2023 exam pattern for UG course:

UG courses:

  • Exam mode: The examination will be held via online as Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.
  • Questions Type: Question paper will consist of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) type questions.
  • Language: There will be 13 languages for UG level course.
  • No. of Sections: CUET UG will include sections as Section IA, Section IB, Section II and Section III.
  • Total No. of Questions: 100 questions will be asked in the question paper.
  • Marking Scheme: 5 marks will be credited for each correct answer while 1 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.

  • 13 different languages – Punjabi, Telugu, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam, English, Hindi, Odia, Tamil, & Urdu

CUET 2023 Syllabus

Candidates must prepare for CUET 2023 through 12th class syllabus. As per CUET syllabus.

In Section IA & IB – Language to be tested through Reading Comprehension (based on different types of passages–Factual, Literary and Narrative [Literary Aptitude & Vocabulary]

For Section II, refer NCERT books.

In Section III- General Knowledge, Current Affairs, General Mental Ability, Numerical Ability, Quantitative Reasoning (Simple application of basic mathematical concepts arithmetic/algebra geometry/mensuration/stat taught till Grade 8), Logical and Analytical Reasoning.

    Sir,
    I have applied for CUET UG 2023. today i received my city intimation for my exam which is scheduled on 27/05/2023 . In the city intimation letter my exam centre is mentioned as Rourkela which is 400+ KM from my present as well as permanent address. I have opted for the examination city as Deoghar( jharkhand) as well as Dhanbad( Jharkhand) which are only 50-60 km away. In such a short span of time seats in railway reservations are also not available.

    So, I request you to kindly change my examination city to the cities which I have opted for in the application form.

      IA and IB are the part of section I. In section IA candidates can choose any one language from 13 languages. However in section IB, there are 19 languages in which any other language apart from the section IA can be chosen.
