DASA 2023: UG Allotment (Released), PG Merit List (Out)

DASA 2023DASA 2023 Special Round Allotment Result has been released on 8th August 2023. DASA stands for Direct Admission of Students Abroad. It is basically a scheme commenced by Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) Govt. of India for several UG and PG courses. DASA 2023 is organized by NIT Calicut.

This scheme is specially designed for providing admission to the Foreign Students, Person of Indian Origin living in abroad (POIs), Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), Children of Indian Workers in the Gulf (CIWG), and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI). Students have to qualify DASA admission procedure to get admission.

Qualifying DASA helps the candidates to join the India’s top- rated Engineering, architecture, Design & Management Institutions. Admission are offered in UG courses like B.Tech & PG courses like M.Tech & MBA. The institutions functioning under DASA are NITs, IITs, CFITs, DTU, SPA and many others. DASA 2023 Merit List

The merit list is prepared by the exam conducting authority via online mode. For all the undergraduate course, the merit list is created based on the total scores only. Those who have relevant SAT scores by MNNIT Allahabad from the College Board are considered valid for the merit list along with the seat allotment process.

To apply for PG courses, the merit list is created based on the total scores of GMAT/ GRE only. For UG Engineering admission, merit list is created based on JEE Main scores. Candidates who have relevant scores of GRE/ GMAT by MNNIT Allahabad are considered valid for the merit list and seat allotment process.

DASA 2023 Selection Process

The selection process for UG courses will be completed within four rounds and for PG courses, the process will get over in two rounds. Only the ones who are eligible will be considered valid for round 1 and they need to confirm their option.

Those who participate in Round 1 will have two different choices either accepting or declining the allotted seat. In case, candidates accept, then the allotted course/ institute and provisional allotment letter will be generated.

In case, candidates deny, then the rights for further seat allotment in rounds 2 and 3 will be no more. Candidates will then be eligible for round 4 and for spot round.

Those who will be selected for round 1 or if they selected for round 1 will be chosen for round 2 and the same pattern will be followed for round 3. For the 4th round, undergraduate candidates will send the relevant SAT subject test score.

DASA 2023 Counselling

The NBE authority has organized the DASA counselling 2023. Candidates who qualifies the exam can participate in the counselling process. Applied candidates are eligible for seat allocation after getting called in the merit list. Candidates have to enroll to engage in counselling via the online portal.

The counselling process takes place in different rounds. It is conducted in first, second, and final rounds. The initial two rounds takes place in online mode and the final round will take place as offline. Candidates are expected to pay Rs. 2500/- for enrollment.

DASA 2023 Admission Procedure

Candidates are expected to download letter of admission by online mode in the DASA 2023 admission procedure. For final admission, shortlisted students must report to the allotted institution. Candidates have to download and report to the allotted institution with their letter of admission.

Also, students have to bring their original and photocopies of documents required for validation. The candidates are required to have few seats reserved based on their nationality. Also, medical fitness test will be organized, and students have to qualify it for admission.

DASA 2023 Application Form

 Candidates can check the DASA 2023 Application form details in below given section:

  • The DASA 2023 Application form for UG Courses has been released from 12th June 2023 and it will end on 22nd June 2023.
  • The DASA 2023 registration form has been made available by online mode.
  • The application form for PG courses has been started from 12th June 2023. Last date to submit the application form is till 22nd June 2023.
  • When filling out the registration form, candidates need to enter their email address & phone number.
  • No physical copy of the completed registration will be returned to candidates.
  • Candidates will send their SAT subject test results to NITL Surathkal through the College Board in the United States.
  • After the online application will get submitted, no changes or editing is permitted. So, candidates must carefully fill out the application form.
  • Finally, candidates must take the printout of the registration form for future reference.

Application Fee:

Check the application fee for DASA 2023:

  • Make the submission of the application fee via E-Payment/ SWIFT/ NEFT/ RTGS transfer.
  • For General category candidates, the registration fee is US$ 300. The fee for the 1st semester is US$ 4000.
  • For candidates of foreign nationals of SAARC countries, the registration fee is US $ 300 and the fee for the 1st semester is US $ 2000.

DASA 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must go through the following details about the DASA eligibility criteria for UG/ PG:

  • Age Criteria: For UG courses, students born on or after 1st October 1998 are eligible. DOB in Secondary Education Board/ 10th documents are only taken authentic. There is no restriction on age limit for PG courses.

For UG Courses:

  • Nationality: Candidates of the category NRI/ PIO/ OCI can apply.
  • Qualification: Candidates should have passed or appearing in Intermediate or equivalent exams from any recognized board or university are eligible to apply.
  • Subjects: Candidates must have passed with Mathematics, Physics subject and any one subject among Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology or Computer Science in 11th & /or 12th.
  • JEE Main Rank: Applying candidate must have valid JEE Main 2023 rank to apply for Engineering admission.

For PG Courses:

  • Qualification: Candidates must have UG degree from relevant streams recognized by authority.
  • Percentage: In the qualifying exam, candidates must have scored 60% aggregate or 6.50 (CGPA).
  • Age Limit: There is no age limit ato apply for PG courses,
  • M.Tech/ M.Arch/ M.Des/ M.Plan: Candidates should score a total of 300 GRE (Quantitative+ Verbal) Revised General Tests.
  • GRE Score: Candidates should have valid minimum total of 300 GRE Revised General Test Score. 480 GMAT Test score for MBA programme.
