State Exam
Those students who want to take admissions in engineering courses of top government and private colleges of Delhi, must have passed the JEE Main 2016 exam with a good rank. The JEE main is the tier 1 exam, after clearing JEE Main, candidates can appear in JEE advance 2016, candidates have to clear the JEE Main to take admission in undergraduate engineering courses in NIT’s and local private and state government colleges whereas the JEE Advance is for admission to IIT’s.
B.Tech Admission 2016
Admission in B.Tech will be done on the basis of marks obtained in the JEE exam 2016. After qualifying the JEE exam candidates has to go through the counselling process conducted by the Delhi Technical University. Admission to the engineering programs will be given on the marks scored by the candidates in class 12th and JEE exam 2016.

Selection Criteria
The selection criteria for the B.Tech admission are mentioned below:
- The candidate must have passed their 12th exam and JEE exam.
- The weightage for admission is divided like 60% is given to performance in JEE exam and 40% is given to performance in class 12th and equivalent exam.
- Candidates have to pass their 12th or equivalent exam from the recognized board and institutions securing minimum 60% of marks in the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
- The age of candidates must be minimum 17 years and maximum 25 years.
Admission Process
B.Tech admission will be done through counselling. Counselling will be held for those candidates who are shortlisted through the screening process will be invited to attend in the online counselling that will be organized by the university administration. 85% percent of seats will be reserved for those students who belong to Delhi state and another 15 % of seats are reserved for outside Delhi region candidates.
The admission process will be carried out in two steps of counselling. In the first step, candidates are required to submit the counselling participation fee and in second step candidates need to fill the choices of college/institute where they want to take admission. After these two steps allotment of seats will be made according to the marks obtained by the candidates in JEE exam 2016 and the choices of college/university choose by the candidates. After the allotment of seat candidates need to submit the requisite fee and must report to the respective University/college for document verification and confirmation of their admission.
