GATE Exam Update: For the upcoming session, the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering is now approaching its admit-card release.

What is GATE 2026 Admit Card Date?
The IIT Guwahati has officially announced the GATE admit card release date through the information bulletin under the important dates section.
GATE 2026 admit card will be released on 02nd January 2026. The mode to download it is going to be online only, the authority is not going to release any admit card via post or through offline mode.
Candidates note that the date is liable to change, so if there are going to be any changes for the GATE admit card release authority will update candidates at gate2026.iitg.ac.in
Once released to check and download the hall ticket, candidates will be required to log in GATE portal by entering their enrollment ID/ email ID and password.

On the GATE exam dat all the candidates are required to carry one hardcopy of their admit card along with one ID proof. No candidate will be allowed to enter the exam center without the required documents. Details such as exam name, shift, timings, date, and exam center will be mentioned in the hall ticket.
Once candidates are allotted to any exam center than they are not allowed to change it. In no case can candidates change details in their GATE 2026 admit card. If done, they will not be allowed to take the exam.
As per the GATE 2026 schedule, the exam will take place on February 7, 8, 15, and 15, 2026, in two shifts. The mode of the exam is computer-based, and candidates will get 3 hours to complete.
