GATE 2026 FAQs PDF Out: Clear Your Application Status Doubts

GATE Exam Update: The GATE 2026 application correction is ongoing. Candidates are able to make corrections via online mode at the GOAPS portal till 03rd November 2025.

Via the GATE FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions), the authority has cleared the most common doubts that are asked by aspirants regarding the examination and GATE application process.

Last year, under the GATE 2025 FAQs, there were 39 questions and answers related to the application process, followed by 5 on the examination and 11 on the scorecard.

This year, under the GATE 2026 FAQs, there is 01 question under application status, 38 questions on the application process, 16 FAQs under the examination section, 6 FAQs for PwD and dyslexic candidates, and 5 FAQs under additional information for availing scribe services and compensatory time.

  • You will enter the homepage.
  • Click on the”FAQs” option.
  • You will be redirected to a new page.
  • There will be five drop-downs (Application status/process/examination/PWD/Scribe).
  • Select as per your doubts.
  • All questions and answers related to it will appear.

IIT Guwahati released the examination form on 28th August 2025, and the last date to apply for GATE 2026 regular online registration/application process (Without Late Fee) was 07th October 2025, and the extended online registration/application process (With Late Fee) was Monday, October 13th, 2025.

For this session, the GATE application fees have also been increased. Also under the GATE XE Paper Sections, a new sectional paper on Energy Science (XE-I) is being introduced.
