GATE Counselling 2024 Procedure is managed by the CCMT (Centralised Counselling for M.Tech. /M.Arch/M.Plan. admissions).

CCMT is an online admission procedure for all NITs (National Institutes of Technologies) & and several other centrally funded institutions. These institutions are IIIT Allahabad, IIITM Gwalior, IIITDM Kancheepuram, SLIET Longowal, NIFFT Ranchi, PDPM IIITDM Jabalpur, SPA Vijayawada, Central University of Rajasthan, and Institute of Technology & IIEST Shibpur.

The counselling registration will start through COAP process. It is organised on the basis of GATE score. Candidates must have a valid GATE 2022/ 2023/ 2024 score card. GATE 2024 COAP Counselling Registration is completely free.

Counselling is held in three rounds through online mode. For seat allotment, candidates first have to register for the GATE CCMT counselling 2024. During counselling registration, candidates have to fill choices of courses/colleges according to their preferences.

On the basis of the rank, filled choices & availability of seats, the seats are allotted to the candidates.

After seat allotment, candidates have to submit seat acceptance fee & confirm their seat. Candidates have to report at the reporting center & verify their documents. Then, candidates have to report at the allotted college & pay the admission fee.

GATE 2024 CCMT Counselling Process

The GATE Counselling 2024 procedure comprises of three rounds that are mentioned below:

Step-1: Online Registration, Choice Filling and Locking of Choices:

In this step, candidates will have to register themselves in the CCMT website and pay the registration fees.

The fee must be paid through online mode by using SBI MOPS (i.e. Net Banking/ Credit Card/Debit Card or through e-Challan).

The registration fee is Rs. 3000 (Rs. 2500 for SC/ST/PwD). After fee payment, candidates have to fill their choices of programmes. Candidates are suggested to lock their filled choices during the counselling process.

Candidates must also take assistance of the Help Centers for registration and choice filling.

Step-2: Online Seat Allotment, Seat Acceptance fee deposit and Personal Reporting:

Candidates are allotted seats on the basis of choices filled and merit. After seat allotment, candidates are required to deposit the seat acceptance fees (Rs. 30,000) (Rs. 10000 for SC/ST/PwD) using SBI MOPS (Net banking / credit card/ debit card or through e-Challan).

After that, candidates have to report personally to the reporting centre as per the given schedule. Candidates have to carry their original documents for verification at the reporting center.

They have to submit self-attested photocopy of documents & Seat Acceptance Fee payment proof. After document verification & seat acceptance fee, candidates are issued a Document Verification Certificate (DVC).

Step-3: Getting Admitted to Allotted Institute:

Students whose seat are allotted will be required to complete the provisional seat confirmation process by paying the seat confirmation fee.

Any other balance fee can be paid to the respective allotted college at the time of admission. After the payment of a seat confirmation fee, candidates will be able to download the provisional seat confirmation letter from the website.

After that, students must report to the allotted college with required documents for taking the final admission.

Documents Required for Counselling:

Students are required to bring the following documents for document verification process during reporting at RC:

  • Provisional seat allotment letter.
  • Self-Attested Copy of GATE Score Card (2022 or 2023 or 2024)
  • Photo ID proof.
  • Original Birth certificate issued by competent authority/Class X (High School) Board Certificate as proof of date of birth.
  • 12th class mark sheet.
  • Mark sheet of qualifying examination (all semester).
  • Degree/Provisional Certificate
  • Category certificate (if applicable).
  • Three Passport size colored photograph.
  • Seat acceptance fee proof.
  • Printout of the Registration form & locked choices.
  • Migration Certificate
  • Transfer Certificate
  • Original Conduct Certificate from the Head of the institution last attended.
  • Original Course completion certificate from the Head of the University/Institute in case result is awaited.
  • One set of self-attested photocopy of all the original documents, etc.
