GCET 2024 Result will be published in third week of May 2024. Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET) is a state level admission procedure. The Government of Goa was entrusted the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) to conduct the GCET exam. It was conducted every year for admission to first year of professional degree courses. From 2024, GCET has been scrapped. The admission will be provided to the candidates on the basis of JEE Main scores.
The admission will be offered in the fields of Engineering and Pharmacy courses such as B.E and B.Pharm. For admission in Homeopathy, Architecture, Ayurveda and other allied Health Sciences courses, candidates must obtain valid scores of NEET UG. Candidates will get admission in various government, government aided & unaided colleges in the state of Goa.

GCET 2024 Result
The Result of GCET 2024 will be published by the authority in third week of May 2024. Candidates will be able to access the result through online mode only. The result will be published in a form of merit list for the qualified candidates.
Candidates will get the result in PDF format. The result will be released for all the participating candidates. Candidates will also check their individual marking by login into the website. Candidates must preserve their GCET 2024 result till the end of admission procedure.

How to Download GCET 2024 Result

- Click on Result tab from the home page.
- Select the “GCET Result” tab.

- GCET 2024 Result will be generated on the computer screen in PDF format.

GCET 2024 Merit List
The merit list of GCET 2024 will be prepared on the basis of aggregate marks scored by candidates in the qualifying examination in subjects of Physics and Chemistry. The authority will prepare a separate merit list for all categories.
The merit list for all professional courses and categories will be made available on website as per the given schedule. All the eligible candidates will be considered eligible for availing seats in various government and private colleges.

GCET 2024 Tie-Breaking Criteria
In the event of two or more candidates scoring equal marks, authority will use GCET 2024 tie breaking criteria to resolve the tie and determine rank of candidates. The merit rank will be calculated by using the following criteria:
- In case of a tie, candidates with more marks in GCET 2024 in Chemistry will be placed higher in merit list.
- In case marks in chemistry are also equal, then candidates with more marks in Physics and Chemistry in 12th standard will be placed higher in merit list.
- In case of a tie at this stage, candidates with more marks in Chemistry in 12th standard will be placed higher in merit list.
- If a tie still persists, then candidates with an earlier date of birth will be placed higher in merit list.
GCET 2024 Cut Off
The authority will prescribe a category wise cut-off list consisting of the minimum qualifying marks. Candidates will be required to achieve more than or equal to minimum cut-off marks in order to get selected.
The candidates must have obtained 50th percentile for General category and 40th percentile for reserved category. The GCET 2024 cut off will be prepared based on various factors such as:
- Number of candidates appearing for exam
- Number of candidates qualified exam
- Difficulty level of exam
- Previous year cut-off trend
- Number of seats available
GCET 2024 Counselling
The GCET 2024 Counselling procedure will be organized from the month of May 2024. The admission will be treated to be completed only after the verification of original documents and deposit of fees. The candidates listed in merit list must be present for all rounds of admission and counselling.
Candidates will be needed to register online for admission rounds. The choices of institutions will be offered to the candidates during the admission rounds, based on the merit positions of all category candidates.
