JEE Main 2026 Application Form Events
Online registration for JEE Main 2026 Exam January session has begun on 31st October 2025. Candidates can apply till 27th November 2025. Exam for JEE Main 2026 Session 1 will take place between 21st January to 30th January 2026.
For Session 2, JEE Main 2026 registration will begin in first week of February 2026. April Session JEE Main Exam will be conducted 2nd- 9th April 2026.
Candidates can fill out the JEE Main 2026 Application form through online mode. No hard copy of the application form will be entertained.

1: Visit NTA JEE Main Website:
- Go to the online website of NTA JEE Main 2026 (Link is given above)
- A home page will appear:
- Under the Candidate Activity, candidate needs to select the option provided as – ‘Registration for JEE(Main)-2026 Session-1.’
2: Login OR Register to Fill Application:
- Next, a login page will appear in which you can ‘Login to Access your account’, ‘complete New Registration’ and ‘Download Important Information’ & Instructions to Stay Updated.
- A page full of instructions and procedure for online submission of JEE Main 2026 Application Form will appear on the screen.
- Complete detailed steps to apply will be described which students must go through carefully to avoid rejection of form later.
- Also, a button as -‘Download Information Bulletin‘ and ‘View Examination Cities‘ is provided where students can go through complete details about the exam and cities.
- After going through these details, students have to give consent by clicking on the declaration provided below on the same page and then proceed further to fill form.
3- Enter Required Details:
Fill in all details in your application form – Personal, Address, Password, etc.
- Personal Details – In this section, enter your name, Father/ Guardian name, Mother/ Guardian name, DOB, gender according to your details of class 10th mark sheet.
- Present Address – Enter premises no/ name, sub-locality (optional), Locality, country, state, district, pin code.
- Electronic Communication Address – Enter your email address, mobile number, alternate contact no. (optional).
- Permanent Address – You can keep this same as present address OR enter again your permanent premises no/ name, sub-locality (optional), Locality, country, state, district, pin code.
- Choose Password – Now enter/ set your password, choose security question and answer and enter CAPTCHA.
Carefully go through all details, re-confirm and submit.
4: Enter Paper, Cities & Qualification:
- Applying for Paper – Select the course for which you are applying for – B.E/ B.Tech only OR B.Arch, B.Plan.
- Choose Exam Cities – Now your have to choose the exam city options – State/ UT, city centre. You have to make choice of four exam state, city according to your order of preference.
- Choose Paper Medium – Select the choice of question paper medium in which you want to take the test.
- Educational Qualifications – Enter details of your education – 10th / 12th or its equivalent pass status, qualifying exam, place of schooling, type of school/ college, school board, year of appearing/ passing, result mode, marks detail, roll number, etc.
- Enter additional step if you have a twin and you both are applying for same JEE Main 2026 exam. Submit his/ her DOB, state, district and captcha. Save and next to proceed.
- Next add emergency contact details – Submit your parent’s /guardian’s country code, mobile number, email address and captcha and proceed further to get OTP in your registered mobile and email.
- A window will appear confirming all the details and proceeding for next step. You can now edit the form or review to edit any detail provided in the form.
5: LIVE Photograph & Image/ Documents Uploading:
- A new step in this section is added this year – LIVE Photograph of the candidate will be captured.
- Candidates need to upload their live photograph during form filling.
- Here, a LIVE camera will open to display your LIVE image.
- Click ‘Capture’ in order to take photograph of yours.
- If satisfied, upload it else take another and upload again.
- Your can also upload it using your mobile if you don’t have webcam. Scan the OR code to upload it using your mobile’s camera.
- Also students have to upload scanned images of Photograph, Signature, and Class 10th or equivalent certificate/ mark sheet and PwD/ PWBD certificate in .jpeg /.jpg format
Photograph:
- The photograph should be recent coloured passport size.
- 80% of the face should be visible (without mask) including the ears against white background.
- It should be a scanned image in jpg or jpeg format.
- The scanned photograph size must be between 10 KB to 200 KB.
- The photograph should not be old & match the identity of the candidate.
Signature:
- The signature file should be in JPG or JPEG format (clearly legible).
- The size of signature file should be between 10KB and 100 KB.
Documents:
- Next students have to upload scanned copy of Class 10th or its equivalent certificate/ mark sheet in PDF format with size between 50 KB to 300 KB (clearly legible).
- Upload scanned copy of Identity proof (for the ones verifying identities via methods other than Aadhaar or Digi-Locker) in JPG/ JPEG format with size between 10 KB to 200 KB (clearly legible).
- Scanned copy of Disability / UDID certificate should be a PDF with size between 50 KB to 300 KB (clearly legible).
After this review all the details in the form properly, and check documents to be submitted according to the specifications mentioned by officials. FINALLY Submit and And Proceed for NEXT Main step of FEE PAYMENT.
6: Fee Payment
Here we are discussing how to remit the application fee:
- Before the fee payment, you have to verify your Email ID.
- Click on the “Click here to verify your Email ID first” button.
- Now, enter the received OTP in your Email ID and click on “Verify” button.
- And go to home page.
- Click on the option provided as ‘Fee Payment’.

- Click on “Go for Payment”.
- Select the mode of payment as via credit/ debit card/ net banking/ UPI.
- In case the examination fee is paid through credit/ debit cards, select the payment gateway.
- Application fees once paid will not be refunded (full or partial) under any circumstances.
4: Download Confirmation Page
- Now, click on “Click here to go home”.
- Candidates should secure their user ID, password, and application form number for further communication as it may be entertained until the end of admission procedure.
- Click on print the confirmation page.
- In case the confirmation page is not generated after payment of fee then the transaction is cancelled and the amount will be refunded to the candidate’s account within a week however the candidate has to make another transaction till the confirmation Page is generated.
- After the confirmation of the fee deposited from Bank, the candidate will be able to print the Acknowledgment Page, by logging into their account again.
- In case the Acknowledgment Page is not generated, the candidate should contact the concerned bank/ branch to update his/ her transaction.
- Now safely log out of the window.
MUST NOTE: Multiple submission of Application forms is strictly not allowed. Even if at later stage found, the authority will take strict action against the candidates who have filled more than on application form.

What should I do if I already got the application number but I have closed website and I can’t continue
You must click on login button and enter your application number and password to continue to fill your application form.
In 10th certificate initial is placed after the name and also name is fully capital letters. But in Aadhaar card initial is placed before the name and also small letters. Is this create problem when jee main registration form filling?
You are advised to update your aadhaar information as per 10th certificate.

Aadhar card is not mandatory to apply for JEE Main.
We have not uploaded cast category certificate
