IGNOU 2025 Admission procedure is carried out at regional centres after the declaration of the B.Ed result or release of merit list. IGNOU (Indira Gandhi National Open University) is one of the famous university of India. The university conducts B.Ed examinations for admission into B.Ed course.

Admission in IGNOU is offered in Online / ODL courses the field of science, education, management, commerce, etc.

For MBA admission, OPENMAT is scrapped and merit scores of qualifying exam are considered now. MBA admissions are open now. Application is open until 31st January 2025.

IGNOU Admission Procedure 2025 

After result announcement & release of merit list, qualified candidates have to fill an application form for admission (Form 2) at the concerned regional centre. The admission form is provided through online mode.

Candidates have to bring result card, identity proof & all other relevant documents. Candidates are advised to keep a print copy of the application form submitted to IGNOU. IGNOU Counselling for B.Ed admissions (Jan session) for qualified candidates will be done at regional centres based on the region wise / cluster wise merit list/ rank and availability of seats.

The admission to the management courses (MBA & specialisation PG diploma in HRM, OM, FM, MM & FMP) will be based on the scores of qualifying exam (UG degree).

IGNOU 2025 Cut Off will be released by the IGNOU University. It will be the minimum marks decided by the University for providing admission into various courses.

Candidates will have a choice to get admission in any of the two subsequent sessions, i.e. one who passes in January 2025 (B.Ed) can get take admission in first session.

The admission will be offered to all candidates those attaining the IGNOU cut-off score & above. Cut-off is the minimum qualifying marks candidates have to score to qualify the exam.

Further only qualified candidates are eligible for admission. Candidates have to report to the institution to confirm seats within the given time period.

IGNOU Counselling 2025

After form submission, candidates are called for the interview round for final selection. The counselling procedure is started at the particular IGNOU regional centres.

The counselling is organised on weekends, i.e., Saturday & Sunday. It is conducted according to the schedule decided by the Study Centre Coordinator.

Candidates have to choose their options for all the courses study centre, which is available in that region. There are six counselling sessions of 2 hours & 30 minutes duration for each course in face to face mode.

The selection is made on the basis of the regional merit in the entrance exam. If any seats remain vacant after 1st round counselling, then further counselling is organised.

Documents Required during Counselling/ Admission

Candidates have to submit the admission form (form 2) along with the requisite fee & documents at the concerned regional centre on or before last date. The documents are given below:

  • Attested Copies of Certificates in support of educational qualification(s).
  • Print out of this Result Card.
  • Paste your recent photograph and sign in the box provided above.
  • Hall Ticket duly signed by candidate and invigilator.
  • Experience certificate wherever required.
  • Category certificate of SC/ ST/ OBC candidates.
  • Identity Card duly filled up.
  • Demand Draft for requisite fee drawn in favour of IGNOU and payable at the city where your regional centre is located, etc.
