IISER 2024 Eligibility Criteria has been revised. Candidates those wish to take admission need to fulfill IISER 2024 eligibility criteria. IISER exam or IAT aptitude test conducted for admission to BS-MS degree program at one of the seven IISERs. For admission to IISER, candidates will need to appear in IAT (IISER Aptitude Test). Given below is the detail description related to IISER eligibility criteria 2024.

IISER 2024 Eligibility has been revised. Admission to 4 Years BS & 5 Years BS-MS will be exclusively through the IISER Aptitude Test. Check other eligibility from below.
The eligibility criteria for IISER 2024 depends IISER Aptitude Test. Below we have given the eligibility criteria in detail.
Nationality: All candidates of Indian national and candidates belonging to Person of Indian Origin (PIO) or Overseas Citizenship of India (OCI) are eligible to apply. Candidates those are appearing their 12th class will also be eligible to apply.
Educational Qualifications: Candidates must have qualified 12th or equivalent examination in 2022, 2023 & 2024 with science stream from any recognised board of Council of Boards of School Education in India (COBSE).
Compulsory Subjects: In intermediate examination, candidates must have compulsory subjects i.e. Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology in their qualifying exam.
Marks Criteria: In the qualifying exam general category candidates must obtain minimum of 60% marks (55% marks for SC/ ST/ PWD category) in their qualifying examinations.
Eligibility for J&K Candidates:
Candidates from J&K Board of School Education (JKBOSE), from Kashmir division/Winter Zone areas of Jammu division and the U.T. of Ladakh, those have passed exam in December 2021, will also eligible to apply for the IAT 2024.
Performance Criteria in Class 12th:
- If candidates are awaited for their 12th result, will also be able to apply. However, candidates will need to satisfy minimum eligibility criteria.
- In case of grades provided by the board, candidate must obtain a certificate from the board specifying the equivalent marks and submit it before the deadline.
- In case, board/ school will not be able to provide a certificate, the percentage marks will be taken as follows:
percentage marks = (CGPA or CPI Obtained X 100)/ PS
where, PS will be the maximum value of point scale used by the resective board/ school.
