IIT JAM 2026 Application Correction
Correction facility will be opened from November 2025 for making changes in application data. Last date to make changes in the JAM 2026 application will be till November 2025.
The authority will provide the minor modification/ correction in the IIT JAM 2026 application form. Candidates who wish to make corrections in fields like gender, category, PwD status and exam city can use this window.
IIT JAM 2026 application form can be filled from 5th September to 12th October 2025. Corrections will be done only through online mode. Correction facility will not provided through any offline mode.
Requests for change of category, if any, with proper documentation, should be made latest by November 2025. Requests received after this date will not be accepted under any circumstances. So candidates are advised to not wait till the last date.
To make correction in the application form, candidates have to enter their login credentials i.e. application number/ email ID or password.
After the scrutiny of applications, a list of defective applications will be released. The list contains the Application ID, Candidate’s Name and Defects in the application. Candidates should check the list and if any correction required then do it immediately.
Fields that can be Modified:
The corrections/ modifications can be allowed in the following fields:
- Category Change
- Gender
- Exam City
Additional Fee for Change of Fields:

Additional fee can be paid through online mode only. Candidates are able to pay it via credit card, debit card or net banking.

How to Make Correction in IIT JAM 2026 Application
Candidates can make corrections in IIT JAM 2026 application form by following these simple steps:
- Go through the website (Link will be given above).
- Enter login details such as Enrollment ID/Registration No. and Password.
- Click on Submit button.
- After successful login, click on the “Change Personal Data” option.
- Now, make corrections wherever required.
- Pay the application fee (if required).
- After submitting the modified details, must take printout of the application for further use.
