JAM Exam Update: The Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, has extended the registration deadline for the Joint Admission Test for Master’s, JAM 2026.

All candidates who wish to apply now have 7 more days. It is advised to wait no longer can fill out the JAM 2026 form sucessfully within the deadline.

What is the last date for JAM registration 2026?

The JAM 2026 registration started on 05th September, and the last day to apply was 12th October 2025. However the now the registration has now been extended. Candidates can now apply for JAM 2026 till 20th October 2025.

To apply, candidtes are required to meet the JAM eligibility criteria and requirements. The mode to apply is only. No forms will be accepted by the IIT Bombay application submitted post-deadline.

The IIT JAM application form will be accepted only after candidates pay the application fee. This year, the application fees have also been increased. Female/SC/ST/PwD candidates need to pay ₹1000 for one test paper, ₹1350 for two test papers, and all other candidates are required to pay ₹2000 for one test paper, ₹2700 for two test papers.

Candidates whose form will be submitted within the deadline with all the correct information and as per instructions by the authority, for those, the JAM admit card will be released on 05th January 2026.

Those who will clear the JAM exam will get admissions to (i) M.Sc., (ii) M.Sc. (Tech.), (iii) MS (Research), (iv) M.Sc. – M.Tech. Dual Degree, (v) Joint M.Sc. – Ph.D., and (vi) M.Sc. – Ph.D. Dual Degree at the IITs for taking up science as a career option for the students.
