JEE Main 2025 Cut Off
The National Testing Agency (NTA) releases the category-wise cutoff marks for JEE Main 2025 online along with the results. The cutoff marks, which represent the minimum score required to qualify for the JEE Advanced exam, are determined based on the difficulty of the questions and the NTA scores of candidates.

JEE Main NTA Qualifying Marks
With the declaration of JEE Main 2025 results, NTA has also released the qualifying marks for the candidates who appeared in JEE Main exam. The qualifying marks are the cut off marks that the candidate must score in order to participate in the centralised counselling conducted by JOSAA.
The tentative qualifying marks for GEN category (common rank list) students are 89.75, for GEN (EWS category) is 78.21, for OBC-NCL is 74.31, for SC is 54, 44 for ST & 0.11371730 for PWD candidates.

How Cut Off Marks will be Calculated?
NTA will declare the cut off marks for the JEE Main 2025 examination along with results. Here we have discussed how cut off is calculated and what factors are taken into account while calculating the cut off marks. Some of these factors are listed below:
- Number of candidates who appeared in the examination
- Difficulty level of the examination
- Number of questions asked in the examination
- The overall performance level of the candidates.
JEE Main Result 2025
JEE Main Result 2025 for first session was released on 12th February 2025 for session I. For session 2, it is declared on 18th April 2025. The result is released on the website, followed by the NTA Cut-Off, rank (category-wise) & final answer key.
Candidates who will appear for JEE Main 2025 examination can now check their results. Aspirants get their actual score and their results online by entering their login credentials on the website. The result is provided in the form of a percentile.
To check result, candidates have to visit the online link of JEE Main result and enter their application number and date of birth in the specified space. After pressing the submit button, students can get their results. One should retain a minimum of 2-3 copies of his/ her result for further use in admission procedure.
JEE Main Counselling 2025
On the basis of the rank list, the counselling procedure has been started. JEE Main 2025 Counselling is scheduled after the release of JEE Advanced AIR and JEE rank list. The counselling procedure started on 03rd June 2025. JEE Main Counselling comprises some simple steps like:
- Registration
- Choice Filling & Locking
- Seat Acceptance
- Pay Fee
- Document Verification (Personal at allotted college)
Admission Process:
Admission process is conducted offline at the institute, where the candidates will be allotted the seats. Candidates have to take the seat allotment letter (given by the counselling authority) to the allotted college. Document verification and admission fee payment will be done in allotted institution premises.
Candidates will have to pay their admission & course fees. After document check and remitting fee, candidates will get their admission ticket/ letter to continue their classes.
JEE Main 2025 Rank List
After the result declaration, the authority will release All India Rank (AIR) and category rank. The AIR will be considered by the respective counselling authorities for admissions in NITs, IIITs, and other government and private institutions.
The best of two NTA scores/percentiles is considered while preparing the rank list. On the basis of marks obtained in the JEE Main exam, a merit list is prepared for admission to engineering & architecture courses. The merit list is drawn separately for each category.
