For catering the decision of different boards regarding reduction in syllabus, NTA may decide to provide choice in one section of each subject of Paper 1 and Part I of Paper 2A and 2B (As per last year). However, total number of questions to be attempted may remain same wherever applicable.

Before appearing for this exam, candidates must have a complete information about the JEE Main syllabus. The JEE Main 2024 syllabus for B.Tech/ B.E paper consists of total three subjects that are Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The JEE Main syllabus for different subjects will be as mentioned below:

JEE Main Subject Wise Syllabus (B.E/ B.Tech Paper)

Candidates must check the JEE Main syllabus subject wise which comprises of syllabus of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

Candidates will have to prepare for each subject in order to score well in the examination.

Candidates may use NCERT books in order to prepare for JEE Main 2024. Here we have mentioned some important topics of syllabus from each subject:

Mathematics Syllabus:

Sets, Relations & Functions, Matrices & Determinants, Permutations & Combinations, Complex Numbers & Quadratic Equations, Binomial Theorem & its simple application, Sequences & Series, Differential Equations, Integral Calculus, Limit, Continuity & Differentiability, Three Dimensional Geometry, Co-ordinate Geometry, Statistics & Probability, Vector Algebra,Trigonometry.

Mathematics Syllabus:

Inorganic Chemistry: p – Block Elements, Co-ordination Compounds, d – and f – Block Elements, Classification of Elements & Periodicity in Properties, etc.

Organic Chemistry: Some Basic Principles of Organic Chemistry, Organic Compounds Containing Halogens, Purification & Characterization of Organic Compounds, Hydrocarbons, Organic Compounds Containing Nitrogen, Organic Compounds Containing Oxygen, Biomolecules, Principles Related to Practical Chemistry, etc.

JEE Main B.Arch/ B.Plan Syllabus

Mathematics Syllabus:

Sets, Relations and Functions , Matrices and Determinants, Complex Numbers & Quadratic Equations, Sequences and Series , Limits, Continuity and Differentiability, Binomial Theorem and its Simple Applications, Permutations and Combinations, Integral Calculus, Differential Equation, Vector Algebra, Co-ordinate Geometry, Three Dimensional Geometry, Trigonometry, Statistics and Probability

Aptitude Test Syllabus:

PART 1:

Awareness of persons, Texture and objects related to Architecture and building environment, buildings and materials, Visualising 3D objects from 2D drawings, Mental Ability (Visual, Numerical and Verbal), Visualising different sides of 3D objects, Analytical Reasoning.

PART 2:

Three dimensional – perception: Understanding and appreciation of scale and proportion of objects, colour texture harmony and contrast. Drawing and designing of geometrical or abstract shapes and patterns in pencil, building forms and elements, Transformation of forms both 2 D and 3 D union, subtraction, rotation, development of surfaces & volumes, Generation of Plan, Creating 2D and 3D compositions using given shapes and forms, Elevations and 3 D views of objects.

Part – 3 (Planning):

Sketching of scenes & activities from memory of urban scapes (public space, festivals, market, street scenes, recreational spaces, monuments, etc.), landscape (gardens, trees, river fronts, jungles, plants etc.) and rural life.

AAT Syllabus:

Freehand Drawing: Simple drawing showing the entire object in its right proportion and form, surface texture, and details of its components in suitable scale, relative location, Ordinary domestic or everyday life utilizable objects like equipment, furniture, etc.

Geometrical Drawing: Activities in geometrical drawing containing lines, triangles, angles, quadrilaterals, circles , polygons, elevation (side or front views) of simple solid objects like cones, prisms,  splayed surface holders, cylinders, cubes, Study of plan (aerial view), etc.

Three-dimensional Perception: Perception and appreciation of 3D forms with building elements, Visualization through constituting objects in memory, volume colour and orientation,.

Imagination and Aesthetic Sensitivity: Composition activity with given elements, Creativity test through uncommon innovative check with recognizable objects, Context mapping, Logic of colour grouping.

Architectural Awareness: General awareness and interest of famous architectural creations – within the country and outside, places and celebrities (architects, designers etc.).

JEE Main 2024 Exam Pattern

JEE Main 2024 Pattern comprise of questions from Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry subjects. In JEE Main B.Tech paper questions are asked from chemistry, physics and mathematics.

In B.Arch/ B.Plan paper comprises of three parts – Aptitude test, drawing test and mathematics in B.Arch and Aptitude test, Mathematics and Planning Based Questions in B.Plan.

Paper of B.Tech/ B.E consists of total 90 questions and total 30 questions are asked from each subject.

For B.Arch paper, it comprises of 30 questions from mathematics, 50 questions for aptitude test and 2 questions for drawing test and for B.Planning, it consists of 50 questions from aptitude test, 30 from mathematics and 25 planning based questions.

  7. i heard that to reduce the influence of coaching institutes the committee had decided to frame question paper for jee mains and advanced based on NCERT syllabus and they said that the question paper will be created in such a manner to check the individual thinking of the students……is it true?what is official information about it?
