JEST 2024 Answer Key

The JEST 2024 Answer Key has been released by the authority through online mode. The answer key has been made available from 5th March 2024. It consist of the correct answers to every asked question in the entrance examination.

The Answer key is made available in the PDF format. If candidate are not satisfied with the answer then they can raise the objection by paying processing charge. The final answer key has been also declared on 19th March 2024.

JEST 2024 Result

The JEST 2024 Result has been declared on 26th March 2024 through online mode. The result will be prepared on the basis of candidate performance in the entrance exam. Candidates need to enter the login details i.e., roll number and date of birth to check the result.

After entering the details on the website, the result will be displayed on the screen. Applicants can take the printout of the JEST 2024 result for further counselling procedure.

JEST 2024 Counselling

The JEST 2024 Counselling will be conducted separately by participating institutes. The institutes will release the list of shortlisted candidates for interview on the basis of cut off. Once the applicants will be shortlisted, they will be called for the interview process.

They will release the interview dates and venue via email and SMS. After interview process, candidates will have to attend the counselling to confirm their seats in choice of their college.

JEST 2024 Eligibility Criteria

For Ph.D. programmes:

• M.Sc. in Physics: The candidates must pass B. Tech/ M.Sc./ BE/ MTech in applied physics and mathematics.
• Computational Biology at IMSc: The institutes accept M.Sc., MTech, ME, MCA in any engineering or science subject.
• Theoretical Computer Science at IMSc: Applicants must qualify M.Sc., MTech, ME degree in Computer Science and Mathematical aspects.
• Neuroscience at NBRC: The applicants must pass M.Sc., B. Tech, MCA in Computer Science, and Physics/ Mathematics.

For Integrated Ph.D. programmes:

• Theoretical Computer Science at IMSc: Candidates must pass B.Sc., B.Tech. MCA in Computer Science and must be interested in mathematical aspects.
• Ph.D. programme at IIA: Applicants must have M.Sc. in Physics, Applied Physics/ Post-Basic (Hons) in Optics and Optoelectronics.

JEST 2024 Exam Pattern

Candidates must check following exam pattern for JEST 2024 below:

• Mode of exam: The exam will be conducted through pen and paper (offline mode).
• Duration: 3 hours will be allotted to the candidates to solve the paper.
• Type of Question: The paper will contain Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
• Medium: The exam will be in English language only.
• Total questions: There will be total of 50 questions in the exam.
• Section: Paper will be divided into three sections i.e., A, B, and C.
• Marking scheme: For every correct answer, 3 marks will be given. 1 mark will be deducted for wrong answer in Part A.
• For Part B, 3 marks will be given for correct response and there will be no negative marking.
• For Part C – Each correct answer carry 1 mark and –1/3 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
