JNU 2024 Result

Candidates will be able to download their JNU 2024 result in second week of June 2024. The marks scored by candidates in entrance exam will be considered for computation of result. The authority will not dispatch scorecards to candidates individually through any offline modes. 

The result will be displayed along with the scorecard. Candidates will need to login to the website to check their result. Based on the result, candidates will be shortlisted for counselling procedure.

How to Download JNU 2024 Result

To check or download JNU 2024 Result, candidates must follow these steps:

  • First of all, visit the website link (link will be given above).
  • On clicking that link, a login page will be opened on screen.
  • Fill in the login credentials to check the result.
  • Click on “Login” button.
  • JNU 2024 Result will be displayed on screen.
  • Now, candidates can download their results.
  • Candidates are advised to keep a hard copy of result for further references.

JNU 2024 Scorecard

The exam conducting authority will release JNU 2024 scorecard through online mode. A few days after the commencement of exam, authority will publish the scorecard on their portal. 

Candidates will be able to check their scorecard by logging in to the website using their application number and password. The scorecard will be required by candidates to participate in counselling rounds.

JNU Result Normalisation Process

The process of normalisation is practised to overcome a situation where candidates who attempt tougher paper will likely to get lower scores as compared to those with easier ones. This process is used to ensure that candidates are neither disadvantaged or benefitted. For JNU 2024 Normalisation Process, NTA will use percentile equivalence. 

The percentile scores of candidates will be calculated as follows:

JNU 2024 Percentile Scores

= 100 X No. of candidates appeared in the session with raw scores equal to or less than the candidate/ Total no. of candidates who appeared in the session.

JNU 2024 Merit List

The admission authority will release JNU 2024 merit list. The merit list will be prepared for each category separately. Candidates will be able to check the first merit list in month of August 2024

The final selection of candidates for admission to university will be based on merit list. The merit list will include name of candidates, programme selected, roll number, category, registration number etc.

Tie Breaking Criteria

In case of a tie between two or more candidates scoring equal marks, JNU will apply the following tie-breaking criteria to evaluate rank of candidates:

  • Higher rank will be awarded to candidates with higher scores.
  • The higher rank will be awarded to candidates with least number of wrong answers.
  • The higher rank will be awarded to candidates with a greater number of right answers.
  • The candidates will be awarded ranks based on their date of birth.

JNU 2024 Cut Off

The JNU 2024 Cut Off is a set of minimum qualifying marks prescribed by exam conducting body. In order to get selected for admission to university, candidates will have to score the minimum qualifying cut-off marks. 

The JNU Cut-Off 2024 depends upon following factors:

  • Number of candidates appeared for examination 
  • Number of seats available
  • Number of qualified candidates
  • Difficulty level of exam
  • Previous year cut-off trends.

JNU 2024 Counselling

The JNU counselling 2024 will be held through offline mode. The shortlisted candidates will be invited to participate in counselling process after the release of merit list. The counselling is expected to be held in month of August 2024

The admission of candidates will be confirmed only after the verification of documents and payment of admission fee. The candidates will have to  bring their following documents in original at the time of counselling:
