State Exam
The eligible candidates who are willing to pursue B.Tech from the Karnataka state must take the KCET 2016 entrance test conducted by the Karnataka examination authority. It is advised to the candidates to check the eligibility criteria before appearing on the exam. B.Tech Admission 2016
For the B.Tech Admission 2016, candidates have to appear for the Karnataka State entrance test KCET 2016 that has been conducted in May, 2016. KCET 2016 application form has been over now. It must be advised to the candidates to check the eligibility criteria set by the conducting authority for KCET 2016. The applying candidates must have passed 12th with minimum 45% (40% in case of SC/ST) aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Math. Selection Criteria
The final selection of the students for Karnataka B.Tech Admission 2016 will be done on the basis of the rank scored in KCET 2016. The priority will be given to those candidates who have secured good rank in KCET 2016. For KCET 2016 qualified students, counselling has been organized by the Karnataka examination authority. After the successful completion of the counseling process, candidates are provided with the seat allotment letter that contains the complete details of allotted institute and the stream provided to the candidate.

The candidates have to carry the following documents to the allotted institute/college on the day of admission:

- Class XII original Mark sheet
- Character Certificate
- Migration Certificate
- Caste Certificate for reserved category candidates
Admission Process
After the successful announcement of KCET 2016 result, the candidates are advised to download the score card from the official site. The counselling schedule has been announced. To appear in the counseling, candidates have to register themselves through the payment of the prescribed counseling fee. Registered candidates fill their choices of various streams and colleges number of times. The final allotment of seats is only on the basis of rank scored in KCET 2016 and the order in which the choices are filled by the candidates. Result of seat allotment will be announced via SMS. Download seat allotment letter from the official website and bring the printout of the same to the allotted college/institute. After document verification, report to the assigned college/institute for admission.
