Admission Procedure
Students who want to get admission into MBBS/BDS Courses in Mumbai, they have to appear for a national level entrance exam called as NEET. The admission into all government & private medical colleges in Mumbai on the basis of NEET score. All the colleges organize the counselling procedure for admission into MBBS/BDS courses for 85% state quota seats.

Entrance Exam
NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) is the national level entrance exam regulated by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). NEET exam was conducted on 7th May 2017. Through NEET, students will get admission into MBBS/BDS programme of all states, private & government colleges all over in India.

MBBS Admission 2017
Students was register for NEET 2017 from the 31st January 2017 till 1st March 2017. The application form is available through online mode only. Students can check the eligibility criteria before applying for the NEET. The eligibility criteria are mentioned below:
- Indian Nationals or Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) students can apply.
- Students must complete the 10+2 or equivalent examination with PCB and any other elective subject with English individually.
- Students have to secure at least 50% marks (40% marks in case of SC/ST/OBC), 45% marks in case of GEN-PH & 40% marks (SC-PH/ST-PH/OBC-PH category) aggregate in the qualifying examination.
- Student age should be 17 years as on 31st December 2017.
- Appearing Students can also apply.
Selection Procedure
Students have to qualify the NEET exam to appear for counselling process in various medical/dental colleges situated in Mumbai. On the basis of merit, candidates will be selected to get admission into MBBS/BDS courses. Students will also get admission into Mumbai medical colleges on the basis of NEET Counselling. NEET Counselling will be conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) & Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) through online mode for 15% all India seats. In Mumbai, approx. 2120 seats available for MBBS course & 400 seats for BDS courses.
