Sikkim MBBS/ BDS 2023 Counselling Registration has been started from 20th July 2023. Sikkim is the second smallest Indian state located in the northeast region of the country. Admission Procedure
The Candidates are required to appear and qualify in the NEET 2023 test in order to apply for admission for M.B.B.S & B.D.S course in the Sikkim. There is no separate state level examination conducted by any other authority in the state for admission in medical and dental courses in the state.
Entrance Exams
The only entrance exam through which MBBS admission offer is NEET (National Eligibility Entrance Test). If a candidate desires to study medicine or Dental courses in the state of Sikkim, then he/she needs to appear and secure qualifying percentile in the NEET exam.

Sikkim MBBS/BDS Admission 2023
Eligibility:
- The candidate must be 17 years old at the time of admission.
- The candidate should have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as subjects.
- The candidates belonging to the General category will need to score 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology in qualifying examination.
- Candidates belonging to reserved category will need to secure 40% in qualifying examination.
- It is mandatory for all the applicants to qualify NEET 2023 in order to participate in the admission procedure of MBBS 2023.
Selection Process
The candidate needs to appear for NEET 2023 and qualify it. After qualifying NEET exam, candidates can apply for MBBS in Sikkim through online application form available on the government portal. The candidates are called for counseling procedure by the authorities on the basis of merit list. Only those candidates have scored qualified marks in the examination of NEET are shortlisted in the merit list. The merit list is declared by the Government of Sikkim. Then the selected candidates are called for document verification process after which they are allotted seat. The candidate has to report to the college in the stipulated time to take admission as a student for the allotted seat.
