Students looking for admission in MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) & BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) are required to appear for NEET examination. For the year 2017, any university level or state level medical examination will not be organized for admission in MBBS & BDS courses.

Entrance Exam

NEET (National Eligibility Entrance Test) is a national level medical entrance test which is organized by the CBSE board. This examination is a gateway for providing admission in MBBS & BDS courses offered by various government and private colleges all over the country.

MBBS Admission 2017

Candidates can get the NEET 2017 application form from the31st January 2017. The application form can be submitted till the 1st March 2017. Candidates can appear for the NEET examination on 7th May 2017.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • The minimum age limit is 17 years and the maximum age limit is 25 years as on 31st December of the year of admission.
  • Indian Nationals and OCI candidates can apply for this examination.
  • Students should have passed HSC or equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects.
  • Five year relaxation on maximum age limit is given for reserved categories.

Selection Procedure

Firstly, students are required to clear the NEET examination. After examination, a rank list will be prepared as per the basis of marks scored in the test. Students can apply for admission in various colleges or universities on the basis of their rank. Through counselling process, candidates will choose the colleges where they are looking for admission. After seat allotment process, candidates are required to appear at the allotted centre to complete admission process.

Documents Required

Following documents will be required at the time of counselling/ admission:

  • 10th class mark sheet & passing certificate.
  • 12th class mark sheet & passing certificate.
  • NEET 2017 admit card & rank card.
  • Domicile certificate
  • Passport size photographs.
  • Caste certificate (if applicable).
