State MBBS/BDS Counselling 2017

Candidates can appear in 85% state quota counselling for admission to MBBS/BDS seats in their respective states.

Delhi: MBBS/BDS Counselling in Delhi has been started. The counselling will be conducted by IP University & Delhi University for admission to their MBBS/BDS courses.

Uttar PradeshNEET 2017 UP Counselling has been started from 5th July. NEET qualified Candidates can appear in counselling for admission to MBBS/BDS state quota seats.

MaharashtraMaharashtra State Counselling 2017 for MBBS/BDS courses has started from 15th July. Candidates can appear in counselling for admission to 85% state quota seats.

Tamil Nadu: Candidates who are resident of Tamil Nadu can apply for MBBS/BDS state counselling. The application process has been started from 26th June, 2017.

Punjab: Punjab NEET counselling has been started from 18th July. Candidates can apply for admission to MBBS/BDS courses in the Punjab Medeical colleges.

RajasthanRajasthan State NEET UG 2017 Counselling has been started from 15th July 2017.

UttarakhandUttarakhand State Counselling 2017 for MBBS/BDS courses has been started from 16th July 2017. Candidates can appear in counselling for admission to medical colleges of Uttarakhand.

Karnataka: Registration for MBBS/BDS courses on the basis of NEET UG 2017 has been started in Karnataka State. The last date for filling the options is 23rd July, 2017. Karnataka medical/dental mock allotment result is releasing on 24th July (4 pm).

West Bengal West Bengal State NEET UG 2017 Counselling has been started from 11th July. The last date for counselling registration is 16th July, 2017.

Haryana:  Candidates can appear in Haryana state Medical counselling for admission to MBBS/BDS state quota seats in the colleges of Haryana. Haryana State NEET UG 2017 Counselling has been started from 14th July 2017.

Madhya PradeshCounselling for MBBS & BDS courses in Madhya Pradesh state has been started.

BiharBihar UGMAC Counselling 2017 for MBBS & BDS courses has been started from 20th July 2017. The counselling will be held through offline mode.

The NEET centralized counselling is supervised by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). MCC is constituted by the Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. It has constituted to conduct online counseling for 15% All India Quota seats for MBBS/BDS courses.

The NEET counselling 2017 was started from 3rd July 2017. Only NEET qualified candidates can appear in the counselling process. Candidates have to register themselves in the counselling process to confirm their seats in MBBS/BDS course & colleges. The counselling result for Round 1 has been declared on 15th July 2017.

NEET Counselling Procedure

The counselling procedure is organized in two rounds. The procedure of NEET online counselling is mentioned below:

Online Registration: To participate in NEET counselling, the candidate has to register themselves by filling their basic details. Without registration, candidates will not able to participate in the counselling procedure. After registration, candidates will get a unique USER ID & PASSWORD in registered email Id & mobile number. Candidates have to register with the given user id & password for further procedure.

Choice Filling & Locking: Now, candidates have to select the medical/dental colleges & courses as per their preference. After final selection, candidates have to click on “Save” button & lock their choices. It is necessary to lock the choices.

Result Declaration: Candidates will receive a SMS or email related to the allotted course & colleges after a few days of the counselling process. The seats will be allotted to the candidates on the basis of rank & opted choice of colleges.

Reporting to the Allotted College: After result announcement, candidates have to report in the allotted college and confirm their seat by paying the course fee. In case, the candidate failed to report in the allotted college at the given time frame the seats will be given to the next candidate.

After getting seat, candidates have to report at the allotted college within a given time period. During admission, candidates have to bring their original documents for verification. In case, candidates fails to join at the allotted medical/dental college within a stipulated time, then candidates seat will be cancelled & candidates will not be eligible for further rounds of counselling.

Answer: Candidates who qualified for All India Quota seats (MBBS/BDS) only eligible for online allotment process for All India Quota Seats, which is conducted by the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC), Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, & Government of India. For state quota/AFMC Seats/Private medical & dental college seats, candidates are required to contact the appropriate State Government/Admission Authority & Directorate of Medical Education.

Answer: The is no need to report any counselling center. Online registration & choice filling can be done from place of convenience (including from home) using Internet.
Answer: During counselling registration, you have to fill up some of the information that you given on the NEET application form.
Answer: You have to report in the allotted college within a given time period which is mentioned in the counselling schedule. You have a advised to join the allotted college as early as possible.

Answer: It is an online counselling procedure. So, there is no need of any documents for participating in online allotment process.

Answer: Yes. You can fill as many choices as you wish. However, choices should be in order of candidates’ preference.

Answer: Yes. You have to fill choices of college/courses in order of your preferences. Once you filled the choice, it is necessary to lock the choice & get a print copy of the submitted choices. In case, candidates not lock the filled choices submitted by him/her, it will be automatically locked at 5.00 PM (last date of choice locking).

Answer: Candidates will be eligible for 2nd Round seat allotment from one of the given groups:

  • Group 1: Registered candidates who cannot get any seat in the 1st Round of Counselling.
  • Group 2: Registered candidates, those 1st round seat cancelled at the time of document verification on reporting for admission, who have secured seat under reservation quota, due to change of category from reserved to unreserved or PH status from YES to NO or from PH 1 to PH 2 will be considered for seat allotment in next round.
  • Group 3: Candidates, those reported in the allotted college at the time of 1st round of counselling & submitted willingness for 2nd round up-gradation as Yes.

Answer: No. Fresh choices is necessary in the 2nd Round of Counselling for seat allotment. If candidates does not submit fresh choices during choice filling period, they will not be considered for seat allotment during Round 2 & will retain the already allotted seat, if any.

Answer: If candidates will get seat in the 2nd Round of counselling, the seat allotted during first round of counselling will be cancelled automatically. The seat will be allotted to some other candidate. Candidates have to join the allotted seat/college during round 2 after getting online generated relieving letter from the college allotted in Round 1.
If candidates not join the allotted college within a given time frame, as per the schedule, candidate will forfeit his/her allotted seat & will not be considered for subsequent rounds of seat allotment. Seat can also be upgraded in the same course (same college) by change of category (i.e. ST/SC/OBC to UR).

Answer: Yes, you can edit, add or delete your filled choices during the period before locking. But once you lock the choices, then you are not able to modify.

    I have allotted a college in 1st round and I have done the joining formalities of that college it is beyond our budget. Now I opt them to go for 2nd round counceling. My NEET rank is 57700 may I get college under Deemed Universities below 14Lacks per annum. Your advice is required to opt for 2nd Round. Kindly update on an urgent basis.

My NEET rank is 57700 may I get college under Deemed Universities below 14Lacks per annum. Your advice is required to opt for 2nd Round.
