NEST 2024 Application Form has been released on 3rd April 2024. NEST (National Entrance Screening Test) is conducted by National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar and University of Mumbai – Department of Atomic Energy Center for excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CEBS), Mumbai. The exam will be conducted to provide admission in 5-year Integrated M.Sc. program in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics & Physics. It is a national level entrance exam conducted every year. Following are the detail about NEST 2024 Application Form with some instructions:

• The NEST 2024 Application Form has been released on 3rd April 2024.
• Candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria before filling the application form.
• Applicants must fill the application form with details such as personal, academic, contact details, etc.
• Application form for NEST 2024 is available through online mode.
• After filling the details, upload the scanned photograph and signature in prescribed size and format.
• The last date to submit the application form is till 31st May 2024.

How to Apply for NEST 2024

• Step-1: Go to the website (link is provided above).
• Step-2: Click on “Online Application” tab and enter basic details.
• Step-3: After login, candidates have to enter details such as personal, address, educational qualification, etc.
• Step-4: Upload the scanned photograph and signature with each file less than 200 KB.
• Step-5: Cross-check all the details in the form.
• Step-6: Now submit the application fee via online mode.
• Step-7: After fee submission, take the printout of the application form.

NEST 2024 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for NEST 2024 is mentioned below:

• Age Criteria: The candidate must born on or after 1^st August 2003 to be eligible for exam. For SC/ ST Divyangjan candidates age is relaxed by 5 years.
• Qualification: Applicants must qualify 12^th/ intermediate or equivalent from any recognized board in year 2022 or 2023.
• Subject: In qualifying exam, candidates must pass with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology to be eligible for exam.
• Marks: The minimum marks candidates must score at least 60% marks (55% marks for reserved category candidates).
• Appearing: Applicants appearing in final year in 2024 will also be eligible to apply for exam.

NEST 2024 Exam Pattern

Candidates must check following exam pattern for NEST 2024 below:

• Exam mode: The exam will be conducted through online (CBT) mode.
• Duration: 3 hours 30 minutes will be allotted to candidates to solve the paper.
• Type of Question: The paper will contain Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
• Marks: There will be total 200 marks in the exam.
• Sections: There will be total 4 sections in the exam.
• Marking scheme: 2.5 marks will be given for correct answer and 1 mark will get deducted for an incorrect answer.

NEST 2024 Syllabus

The NEST syllabus will be released on the basis of 11^th and 12^th class. The candidates must prepare from NCERT and CBSE pattern.

NEST 2024 Admit Card

The NEST Admit Card will be available through online mode. It will release on 15th June 2024. The hall ticket will contain details such as candidates name, centre, duration, venue, and reporting, etc. To download the admit card, candidates will have to enter application number and date of birth.

Candidates must not forget to carry admit card along with photo identity proof at the exam hall. Without these documents, the candidate will not be allowed to take the exam.

NEST 2024 Exam Centres

NEST 2024 Answer Key

The NEST 2024 Answer Key will release in first week of July 2024. NEST Answer key consist of the correct answers to every asked question in the entrance examination. It will be available through online ode.

It will be available in the PDF format. If a candidate will not be satisfied with the answer then they will be able to raise the objection. Candidates will also be able to make objection against answer key within given time. After objection, final answer key will get published.

NEST 2024 Result

The NEST Result will declared on 10th July 2024 through online mode. Candidates will be able to download their scores by entering login credentials. The merit list will also be prepared on the basis of candidates score in the entrance exam.

The score card contain the total scores, scaled score for each section and percentile ranking. Once the final percentile score will be announced, the scores of the candidates will be sent to the institute opted by them in the registration form.

NEST 2024 Counselling

NEST Counselling will start to provide admission in 5 year Integrated M.Sc. programmes. It will be conducted in three rounds through offline mode. For NEST exam, no joint counselling will be conducted. It will be held separately at NISER and UM-DAE-CBS.

The candidates who will be shortlisted will be allotted seats in M.Sc. courses at NISER and UM-DAE-CBS. Candidates must bring the documents for verification at allotted centre in which they want to take admission in.
