NID 2024NID 2024 Admit Card has been released on 22nd February 2024. Result has been declared on 16th February 2024 for M.Des & will be declared on 4th April 2024 for B.Des prelims. courses. National Institute of Design (NID) is the conducting authority of this examination. It is a national level entrance examination conducted each year. Admission through this exam is offered in Undergraduate & Postgraduate design courses i.e. B.Des, M.Des. Examination is generally known as NID DAT (Design Aptitude Test). This examination is conducted in two stages i.e. Prelims & Mains. Exam qualified candidates can get admission in NID, Ahmedabad and its campuses. NID 2024 Result

NID Result for prelims has been declared on 16th February 2024 for M.Des & for B.Des courses it will be out on 28th March 2024. It will be announced through online mode on the website. Candidates need to enter their login details i.e. application number & date of birth to check result.

Mains result will be declared on 30th April 2024 for M.Des & 21st May 2024 for B.Des exam. Final result will be prepared by the authority based on the prelims & mains exam scores.

Based on the final merit list candidates will be selected for further interview & admission rounds. Result rechecking facility will also be provided by the authority for short time period.

NID 2024 Exam Pattern

Candidates can get to know about NID 2024 exam pattern from below:

  • Mode of Exam: Examination is conducted through offline mode (mode might be changed accordingly).
  • Stages: Exam is conducted in two stages i.e. DAT Prelims & DAT Mains.
  • Duration: Exam duration will be of 3 hours.
  • Type of Questions: Mix of objective & subjective type questions will be asked in the examination.
  • Language of Paper: Question paper will be available in English language only.
  • Total Marks: Question paper will be of total 100 marks.

NID 2024 Syllabus

NID 2024 syllabus helps the students to introduce themselves with the important topics. For prelims exam, candidates must prepare themselves with the topics i.e. innovation in design, theme development, optical illusion, creative thinking and writing, picture analysis, usage of colours in compositions, presentation techniques, good design vs bad design, story pictures etc. Mains exam will depend in mock interview, importance of body language, creative thinking, dooling etc.

NID Preparation Tips

Here we have provided some preparation tips and tricks for the candidates to prepare well for the exam:

  • Make a routine for your study and follow it strictly.
  • Introduce yourself with the NID exam pattern & syllabus.
  • Look at the past exam papers and sample papers.
  • Make short notes of the important topic and do revision of the same.
  • Do not get panic, calm down and drink plenty of water.
  • Discuss your topics with your teachers and friends, It will help you to clear your concept.
  • Do exercise and yoga on the daily basis to keep your mind fresh.

NID 2024 Admit Card

NID 2024 Hall Ticket has been made available few days before the examination. It has been released through online mode on the website. NID admit card has been released on 12th December 2023 for prelims exam. It will be out on 14th April & 22nd February 2024 for DAT B.Des & M.Des Main, respectively.

Candidates must check all the details mentioned on admit card i.e. name of the candidate, examination centre, exam time, day. In case of any discrepancy, contact the officials. It will be compulsory for the candidates to bring admit card at the day of examination with one ID proof.

Candidates will not be allowed to enter the examination hall without a valid admit card. Admit card for NID 2024 will be released through login.

NID 2024 Answer Key

Candidates are able to get their answer keys in PDF format. NID Answer Key has been released through online mode on the website after few days of the examination. Answer key will have correct answers of all the questions asked in the examination. Question papers will also be released with the answer key.

Authority will also provide the facility to submit objection against the answer key. Objection facility will be available for limited time. After submitting all the objections, candidates will be able to get final answer keys. Based on the final answer key, result will be declared.

NID 2024 Merit List

Authority has released NID 2024 result for for the candidates those have appeared for prelims examination of M.Des. It has been released via online mode on the candidates portal. Final merit list will be calculated based on the weightage of marks obtained in the prelims and mains examinations.

Candidate whose name will appear in the merit list will only be eligible to participate in interview rounds. Merit list will be released separately for all category candidates. Any hardcopy of the score card will not be provided to the candidates.

NID 2024 Admission

NID 2024 Admission will be offered only to the eligible candidates. Shortlisted candidates will be called for further procedures i.e. GD & PI. Seat allotment process will only be done based on the merit list and performance of the candidates.

Candidates will need to reach the the given venue with required documents, in case allotment process is done offline. In case candidates will not be able to present on the given date and time, their seats will be cancelled and it will be offered to the next candidate.

Candidates will need to bring documents with them which they have uploaded at the time of filling application form. Here we have provided the list of documents which will be needed for verification:

NID 2024 Application Form

Candidates are able to check NID 2024 Application Form details from the below steps with some instructions:

  • Registration process for UG & PG courses has been started from 8th September 2023.
  • Candidates are able to get their application form through online mode on the website.
  • Candidates must read and familiarise themselves with the eligibility criteria before applying.
  • It will be necessary for the aspirants to register/ sign up before filling the application form.
  • Fill all the required details in the application form including personal, educational, address, category etc.
  • Upload the scanned photograph, signature, category certificate (for reserved category only) etc. in the specific format.
  • Candidates are advised to fill correct details in the application form to avoid any kind of rejection.
  • Last date to fill registration form will be till 5th December 2023.
  • Authority will also provide correction facility to the candidates who have done mistakes in their application form. It will be provided from 10th December 2023.
  • Do not forget to take printout of the application form for future purpose.

How to Apply for NID 2024

  • Step 1: Visit the official website (link is given above).
  • Step 2: Register/ sign up by providing basic details i.e. name, email address etc.
  • Step 3: Now, enter login credentials i.e. email ID, date of birth & password which you have received through email.
  • Step 4: Fill personal and education details and then select the course i.e. B.Des, M.Des.
  • Step 5: Upload documents i.e. photograph, category certificate and signature etc in JPG/ JPEG format.
  • Step 6: Click on payment button and pay the application fee through online mode.
  • Step 7: Verify all the details and keep printout of the application form for future reference.

NID 2024 Eligibility Criteria

For B.Des Courses:

Qualifications:

  • Candidates must have passed 12th class or its equivalent exam in Science/ Commerce/ Arts/ Humanities or any other stream from a recognized board.

Age Criteria:

  • Indian (General & General EWS category): Candidates should be born on or after 1st July 2003.
  • Indian Reserved (OBC-NCL, ST & SC category): Candidates must born or after 1st July 2000.
  • Indian Reserved (PWD category): Candidates those have born on or after 1st July 1998 will only eligible.
  • Foreign in Overseas Category: Candidates should born on or after 1st July 2003.

For M.Des Program:

Qualifications:

  • Aspirants must be graduated in 4 years duration in any specialisation. OR
  • 4 Year diploma courses in Design/ Applied Arts/ Fine Arts/ Architecture, after 12th or equivalent to 12th standard from a university or institute recognised by law in India OR
  • Graduation degree of 3 years duration in any stream.

Age Criteria:

  • Indian (General & General EWS category): Candidates should be born on or after 1st July 1992.
  • Indian Reserved (OBC-NCL, ST & SC category): Aspirants must born on or after 1st July 1989.
  • Indian Reserved (PWD category): Aspirants must born on or after 1st July 1987 will be eligible.
  • Foreign in Overseas Category: Candidates should born on or after 1st July 1992 to be eligible.
