NID 2024 Result will be declared in the second week of May 2024. NID also known as “The National Institute of Design”, is one of the most prestigious design institutes. NID conducts entrance test to select qualified candidates for admission in various UG and PG design programmes. A two-stage competitive test Design Aptitude Test (DAT) (Prelims) and DAT (Mains) will be organised for choosing the qualified candidates. The authorities will compile the final merit list for NID 2024 after both tests have been successfully completed.

Shortlisted candidates will be notified for admission into NID. NID has campuses located in three cities: Bengaluru, Gandhinagar, and Ahmedabad. NID Result 2024

The NID 2024 Result will be accessible online through the conducting website. The DAT prelims result will be declared in the third week of March 2024 for B.Des course and fourth week of February 2024 for the M.Des course. To view the results, candidates must go to the website and input their login information.

Candidates who pass the preliminary exam will be eligible for the next stage. The result for B.Des. and M.Des. will be declared in the third week of May 2024. The final marks are determined using the candidates’ DAT prelim and main exam scores.

Candidates will be able to download the NID 2024 Result through the following steps below:

• Now press on the link provided on the website to access the result.
• A new window will be opened on the Aspirant’s computer screen.

• Now, the results for NID 2024 will be shown on the screen.

NID 2024 Merit List

Candidates who pass all of the examinations in DAT Prelims and DAT Mains will be admitted on the basis of merit list. The NID merit list will be made available through online mode by visiting the online website.

The first merit list will be available following the DAT Prelims exam, which will shortlist candidates for the main exam. The final merit list will be posted online, category by category.

NID Tie Breaking Criteria 2024

If the candidates achieve equal DAT Mains scores, the following tie-break policy will be utilized to determine their merit positions:

B.Des Programme tie-break policy (Prelims):

• Aspirants with higher scores in Part II of the DAT Prelims will be given a higher rank.  
• If a tie still remains, the applicants who scored higher in Part I of the DAT Prelims will be given a higher position.
• If the tie persists, both candidates will be assigned the same rank.
• If this does not break the tie, both candidates will receive the same rating. 

M.Des Programme tie-breaker policy (Prelims):

• The candidate with the highest DAT Prelims (Part II/ Part III) score will be granted a higher rank.
• If this does not break the tie, the candidate with the higher DAT Prelims (Part I) score will be assigned a higher rank.
• If this does not break the tie, both candidates will receive the same rating. 

NID 2024 Result Tie Breaking Criteria (Mains)

B.Des Programme Tie-break Policy:

• The candidate with the highest DAT Mains score will be granted a higher rank.
• If the tie remains, the candidate with the higher score in Stage 1 of the Design Aptitude Test will be granted a higher rank.
• If the tie is still undetermined, the candidate with the higher score in Stage 1 Design Aptitude Test Part B will be granted a higher rank.
• If this does not break the tie, the candidate with the higher score in Stage 1 Design Aptitude Test Part A will be assigned a higher rank.
• If this does not break the tie, the candidate with the greater grade point average will be assigned a higher rank.

M.Des Programme Tie-break Policy:

• The candidate with the highest DAT Mains score will be granted a higher rank.
• If this does not break the tie, the candidate with the higher DAT Mains- Studio score will be assigned a higher rank.
• If this does not break the tie, the candidate with the higher DAT Prelims score will be granted a higher rank.
• If this does not break the tie, the candidate with the highest score in the DAT Mains exam question with the most points will be granted a higher position.
• If this does not break the tie, the applicants will be assigned the same rank.

NID 2024 Cut Off

The cut off will be announced for applicants in the Open/ SC/ ST/ OBC-NCL/ PwD categories. The deadline will be notified in May/ June 2024.

Candidates can view the cut off marks on the online website. If candidates do not meet the cut-off marks, they will be rejected from the next round of admissions. The qualifying percentage for the open category will be 50, 45 for OBC-NCL, and 40 for SC, ST, and PwD.

NID 2024 Admission

The online counselling approach will be adopted by the NID 2024 Admission. The conducting authority will invite candidates for stage 1 and stage 2 based on their positions in the merit list.

Candidates must complete two phases and a choice filling procedure in order to be admitted into design courses. After successfully completing all counselling procedures, the candidates will be assigned an NID admission letter.

Candidates can report to the allotted college with the admission letter and confirm their seats for admission with all authentic papers.
