NSD 2024 Result will be released in the first week of August 2024. The NSD (National School of Drama) is a theater training institution in India. The admission procedure is organized for the candidates to offer admission into 3 year Diploma courses in the field of Acting, Design, Direction etc. It is a national level admission procedure organized by the National School of Drama, New Delhi. For admission, the school conducts Preliminary Test/ Audition and Final Workshop. NSD 2024 Result

The NSD result will be released through online mode. Students will be able to check their result after a month of examination. The result will be published in the form of a merit list. The candidate name and marks will be displayed in the merit list. The result will not be sent to the candidates individually through any of the offline mode. 

Students will need to download it from the website by using their login credentials. If candidates found discrepancy in the result, then they must immediately contact the authority. Candidates must keep their result safe till the completion of admission procedure. 

The result will consist of the name of the student, roll number, marks, application number etc. The authority will declare the NSD result in the form of a list which will contain the name of candidates qualified in the written test. Qualified candidates will be eligible for further interview process.

NSD 2024 Tie Breaking Criteria

There may be a case of tie breaking criteria in NSD 2024 i.e. when two or more candidates obtained the same scores in the entrance exam. In such cases, the authority will determine the marks of candidates in different subjects, rank of the candidates, age of the candidates, category of the candidates etc. First thing which will be considered by the authority will be marks scored by the candidates in the entrance exam.

NSD 2024 Selection Process

The selection process of NSD 2024 will include two stages for shortlisting candidates for admission. The first stage will be a preliminary test and the second will be the final workshop. The preliminary  test will include the three tests i.e. written test, practical test, analytical capacity test.

In written test there will be a critical aptitude test. In practical test, one will be dramatic and one will be as poetry passage. In analytical capacity test, there will be a test of candidates’ general knowledge related to theater and other performing arts. 

Candidates who clear all three rounds will be invited to the final workshop. It will be held for 5 days by the expert committee. The medical test will also be conducted for the candidates. At last the admission will be offered to the candidates who will clear the preliminary test as well as final workshop.

NSD 2024 Admission Procedure

The admission procedure of NSD 2024 will be commenced in August 2024. Candidates will be shortlisted for the next round on the basis of written test/ preliminary test. Applicants will need to clear the preliminary exam first and then candidates will be shortlisted for final examination workshop. The admission procedure will be organized after the declaration of result. 

After qualifying the preliminary entrance test, students will need to appear in a workshop of around five days in the premises of college. Students will also have to clear the physical fitness followed medical test at NSD campus. After that candidates will be called for interview rounds. 

The final selection will depend on the performance of the candidate in the aptitude test and workshop tests and document verification. Without document verification, admission will not be provided to the students. Candidates will need to carry the required documents like Theatre certificate, recommendation letter, marksheet, medical fitness certificate etc at the time of admission. Candidates must reach the allotted venue on the specific date and time.
