Odisha DET 2023: Counselling, Cut Off, Allotment (Released)

Odisha DET 2023 Provisional Allotment has been released on 29th August 2023 for L.E course. It is a state-level admission procedure organized by the Directorate of Technical Education and Training, Odisha. The admission procedure is regulated every year on the basis of the merit scores of qualifying exams.

The shortlisted candidates through the merit list will get admission in diploma courses in various offered fields at government and private polytechnic institutions across the state. These colleges provide admission in Diploma Engineering/ Diploma Engineering (Lateral Entry)/ Non-Engineering Diploma/ Diploma in Film and Television etc.

Odisha DET 2023 Merit List/ Result

Candidates can check the Odisha DET Merit List 2023 through online mode. The seat allotment is published from 28th June 2023 for first year course. It will be published on 29th August 2023 for L.E course respectively after the document verification.

Separate merit lists is drawn for all applicants on the basis of marks secured by the candidates in qualifying exam. The general merit list is uploaded for Diploma Engineering/ Technology courses. And separate list for each of reservation category, LE admissions, Diploma Engineering/ Technology/ Non- Engineering are released.

The authority reserve several seats for the reserved category candidates according to the reservation policy of the government. The complete reservation policy is as follows:

Odisha DET 2023 Counseling

The counselling procedure is organized based on the released final merit list on the website. Only shortlisted candidates through the merit list are called for the Odisha DET counselling/ document verification procedure. Registrations for Counseling process can be done through online mode.

Complete schedule of counselling is released by the authority on the website. The Counseling procedure follow various rounds including the registration, choice filling, allotment of seats and reporting. The seats are offered to the candidates based on their ranks secured in the merit list and choice filling.

After the allotment of seats, students are called for reporting at their allotted centers. Also, candidates have to bring the following documents for the verification round –

• Pass certificate and mark sheet of High school certificate (HSC) examination awarded by BSE, Odisha/ 10^th standard examination certificate declared equivalent.
• Caste Certificate (SC/ ST)
• Sports Certificate (if applicable)
• NCC certificate
• Employer’s certificate
• Green card of parent
• Permanent Residence Certificate
• Annual Income Certificate
• ITI Pass/ Science (PCM)/ Vocational pass certificate and mark sheet issued by SCTE, Odisha/ CHSE/ 12^th standard examination declared equivalent by CHSE

Odisha DET 2023 Application Form

• The Online Common Application Form (CAF) has been released via online mode.
• Eligible candidates can submit the application form from 17th April 2023 through online
• Candidates must fill out the application form very carefully and as per the instructions given on the application form, any alteration in the details can cause rejection of the application form.
• Candidates must submit the application form before the prescribed date for submission, as no application form can be accepted after that date.
• After submission of CAF, you can modify your application form maximum upto three times.
• The last date for submission of the application form will be till 19th June 2023 and 20th July 2023 for 1st year & L.E course.
• Candidates are advised to keep the printout of the filled application form and fee receipt for future reference.

The Application fee can be submitted online mode. Candidates can use prescribed online payment gateways (debit card, credit card, net banking) for the transaction of application fee.

Diploma in Engineering/ Technology Courses:

• Qualification: Candidates must have passed 10^th level or equivalent examination from any recognized board.
• Age Limit: Candidates’ age must be at least 14 years as of 1^st July 2023. The lower age limit is 16 years for the students applying for Mining & Drilling Engineering. No upper age limit prescribed.
• Marks Criteria: Candidates must have scored at least 35% marks (30% in each subject) in their qualifying exam with English, Mathematics & Science subjects.

Lateral Entry Engineering and Technology:

• Qualification: Candidates must have passed the 12^th level (Intermediate) or its equivalent examination from any recognized board.
• Age: Candidates must be at least 14 years as on 1st July 2023. The lower age limit is 16 years for the students applying for Mining & Drilling Engineering. No upper age limit prescribed
• Marks: Candidates must have scored at least 30% marks in each subject at their qualifying exam.
• Subjects: Candidates must have passed the 12^th Science with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as mandatory subjects.

Diploma in Non -Engineering Courses (1^st year):

• Age Criteria: Lower age limit to apply is 16 years for Non -Engineering courses except Beauty Culture. For Beauty Culture, lower age limit is 14 year. There is no upper age limit.
• Modern Office Management (MOM): Passed 12^th in Science/ Commerce/ Arts from CHSE Odisha or its equivalent securing 30% marks in each subject.
• HM & CT: Passed 12^th in Science/ Commerce/ Arts from CHSE Odisha or its equivalent securing 35 % marks aggregate and 30% marks in each subject.
• Pharmacy: Passed 12^th in Science stream with PCB or PCM subjects or its equivalent exam approved by Pharmacy Council of India securing 30% marks in each subject.
• Beauty Culture: Passed HSC/ 10^th level securing 35% marks aggregate and 30% marks in each subject with English, Mathematics & Science subjects.
