Admission Procedure

Students can apply for national level entrance test & state level entrance exam for admission into law courses in Kerala. Students will also get direct admission into law courses according to the college norms. The exams score card which is considered by various governments & private colleges for admission into law courses are CLAT 2017, KLEE 2017 and CUCET 2017. The KLEE score card will be accepted by the Government Law Colleges & Private Self-financing Law Colleges of Kerala.

Entrance Exam

Kerala Law Entrance Exam (KLEE) is a state level entrance exam, which is managed by the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations (CEE). CEE organizes entrance exam for 3 Year LLB, 5 Year LLB & 2 Year LLM courses. The entrance exam will be conducted in the month of July & August 2017.

Law Admission 2017

CLAT 2017 Application Form has been issued from 1st January 2017. Candidates can fill the application form till 31st March 2017. Candidates have to meet the given eligibility criteria for Law Admission in Kerala 2017:

  • Candidates have to pass their 10+2 examination & secure at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of SC/ST category) for admission into 5 Year LLB courses.
  • Candidates seek admission into 3 Year LLB course, they have to complete the graduation degree.
  • Candidates have to qualify the 3 Year/5 Year LLB degrees for admission into LLM programme.
  • Candidate’s age should be 20 years (22 years for reserved category) as on 31st December 2017 for admission into integrated law course.
  • There is no upper age limit for admission into 3 Year LLB course.
  • Candidates have to qualify one of the national level or state level law entrance exams.

Selection Procedure

The admission into law colleges on the basis of the marks obtained by the candidates in the entrance exam. Candidates will be called for the counselling procedure according to the rank. Candidates have to select their college’s preference at the time of counselling process. Those candidates who want to get direct admission into law colleges, they have to fill the admission form. Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in the qualifying examination.
