PIET 2022 Eligibility Criteria

Before registering, candidates must check complete PIET Eligibility criteria 2022 which is provided as under:

For B.Tech (4 years):

• Qualifying Exam: Applying candidates must have passed 10+2 from a recognised board or university.
• Qualifying Subjects: In 12^th level, applying candidate must have passed with Mathematics & Physics as compulsory subjects & computer science/ chemistry/ informatics practises as optional subjects.
• Qualifying marks: Students in the 12^th level must have passed with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of ST/ Sc category).
• Qualifying rank: Candidate’s admission into B.Tech courses will be on the basis of JEE Main merit rank.

For BBA:

• Qualifying Exam: Applying candidates must have passed with 10+2 from a recognised board or university.
• Qualifying Subjects: In 12^th level, applying candidate must have passed with English as compulsory subject.
• Qualifying marks: Students in the 12^th level must have passed with 50% marks.

For MBA:

• Qualifying Exam: Applying candidates must have done graduation or post-graduation in any stream from a recognised board or university.
• Qualifying Marks: Candidates in their graduation or PG must have passed with 50% marks (47.50% marks for ST/SC).
• Qualifying Scores: Admission into MBA course is done on the basis of composite score of CMAT/ MAT.

PIET 2022 Admission Procedure

The admission into PIET 2022 is offered on the basis of national level test scores/ state level exam scores/ HSTES Panchkula merit basis. For PIET admission into Engineering courses, inter-se-merit of JEE Main is taken into consideration.

As per the reservation policy notified by the Govt of Haryana, 75% of sanctioned intake will be done by HSTES through counselling process. 25% of sanctioned intake will be filled by the institutions (management quota) at their own level. Remaining seats will be filled by institute level manual counselling process. For MBA admissions, CMAT/ MAT scores will be taken into consideration.

PKAT 2022 Entrance Exam

PKAT (PIET Knowledge Aptitude Test) is an online exam which is conducted by PIET to take admission into various undergraduate courses & postgraduate courses at the institution.

However, there are exceptions for candidates who have secured rank below 150000 in JEE or scored above 1200 in SAT exam. Also, there is exception made for MBA applicants with 60 percentile or above in CAT, 80 percentile or above in MAT or a score of 550 or above in GMAT.

PIET 2022 Result/ Merit List

After the candidates have appeared for PKAT exam, PIET will release the merit list/ rank list for candidates who are selected for the further admission procedure. The shortlisted applicants will be informed about the interview/ counselling procedure.

The result will be also announced after the interview process. PIET 2022 Result/ Merit List will be released separately for various courses online on the website.

PIET 2022 Counselling

The PIET Counselling 2022 process will start after the selection of the candidates in various courses on the basis of their scores obtained in entrance test or merit list. For B.Tech/ B.E, three online off campus counselling will be organised by PIET.

The 1^st/ 2^nd counselling will be conducted on the basis of inter-se-merit of JEE Main. For MBA course, the admission will be made through institute level manual counselling based on their merit of qualifying exam before the final cut-off date of the admissions as per the reservation policy of the state.

While appearing for counselling, students selected for admission will have to bring the documents for verification purpose. The documents required for the certificate verification are as under –

• JEE Main/ CMAT/ MAT scorecards
• Qualifying exam scorecards
• 10^th/ 12^th level Marksheets
• 10^th/12^th level Pass certificates
• Character certificate/ Migration certificate/ Transfer certificate
• Category certificates
• Passport size photographs, etc.
