PIET 2023 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for PIET Admission 2023 is provided below:

For B.Tech courses:

• Qualification: Candidate must pass 12th level or equivalent exam from any recognized board.
• Subject: Candidate must pass have Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subject with one of the Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Information practice subject.
• Marks: In qualifying marks candidate must obtain at least 45% marks (40% marks for reserved category candidates).

For BBA course:

• Qualification: Candidate must pass 12th class or equivalent from CBSE or any other State Education Board.
• Marks: Candidates must secure minimum 50% aggregate marks to be eligible.
• Subject: Candidate must have English as mandatory subject in the qualifying examination.

For MBA course:

• Qualification: Applying candidate must have bachelor’s degree in any discipline from any recognized university.
• Marks: In qualifying exam candidate must score 50% marks (47.50% marks for SC/ ST category candidate).
• Score card: Candidate must have valid score of CMAT/ MAT.

PIET 2023 Admission Procedure

PIET 2023 Admission Procedure is based on the National level entrance exam/ State level entrance exam or merit basis. For Engineering courses admission is based on the inter-se-merit of JEE Main. For MBA courses admission will be based on the CMAT/ MAT scores.

As per the reservation policy the Govt of Haryana, 75% of sanctioned intake can be done by HSTES through counselling procedure. 25% of seats will be filled by management quota. The remaining seats will be filled by institute level counselling process.

PIET 2023 Entrance Exam (PKAT)

PIET 2023 conducts the university level entrance exam called PKAT (PIET Knowledge Aptitude Test). The exam is conducted through online mode for candidates who want to get admission in UG and PG courses at institute.

There will be some exceptions for candidates who will secure rank below 150000 in JEE scored or above 1200 SAT exam. For MBA candidates exceptions will be 60% or above in CAT, 80% or above in MAT or score of 550 or above in GMAT.

PIET 2023 Result/ Merit List

The merit list for the PIET Admission 2023 is provided through online mode on the website. The process of admission is prepared on the basis of candidates qualifying examination marks. The merit list releases after the entrance test is conducted successfully by the authority.

The candidates are able to check their names and ranks in the merit list. Further process of counselling and admission of the candidates is carried out as per their names in the merit list. The final result is made available after the interview rounds.

PIET 2023 Counselling

The PIET 2023 Counselling is commenced after release of merit lists for various courses. Admission to B.Tech/ BE shall be made through three online off campus counselling. After the selection of candidates in various courses counselling procedure will be started based on scores obtained in entrance test or merit list.

The first and second counselling is organised based on the inter-se-merit of JEE Main. The admission will be provided through institute level manual counselling & based on merit of qualifying exam for MBA course. The final cut-off of admission will be based on the reservation policy of the state.
