IK Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU) organises the centralised counselling procedure every year. This counselling procedure is organised for those candidates who want to take admission in UG and PG courses.

Admission into various UG/ PG courses is offered on the basis of the National level entrance examination. The qualified candidates will get admission in Pharmacy, Commerce, Engineering, Management, IT, etc. fields. • At the time of filling the form, candidates have to fill the details such as personal, academic qualification, contact details, etc.
• There is only online mode available to fill out the application form, no other offline method is provided by the authority.
• The PTU 2024 application form has been released from 12th March 2024.
• Candidates are advised to fulfil the eligibility criteria first before proceeding to fill out the application form.
• Candidates must be careful while filling the form, as there will be no correction facility provided for rectification of details.
• After filling the form, upload the scanned documents of photograph and signature in the specified format.
• The university will provide the facility to fill the application till the second week of July 2024.

PTU 2024 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must check the given PTU Eligibility criteria 2024 before filling the form:

For B.Tech. Course:

• Qualification: Passed candidates in class 12^th level or equivalent from recognised board or by Central/ State government will be eligible to apply.
• Subject: Candidates with Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Biotechnology, Biology as a mandatory subjects in qualifying exam will be eligible to apply.
• Marks: At least of 45% marks must be scored by the candidate (40% for reserved category candidates) to be eligible.

For M.Tech Course:

• Qualification: A graduate candidate in B.Tech./ B.E or equivalent from any recognized university/ institute will be eligible.
• Score card: A valid score of GATE will be required to apply.
• Marks: Candidates with at least of 50% marks (45% marks for reserved category candidates) in qualifying exam will be eligible to apply.
