State Exam

Admission in various government and non government colleges of Rajasthan will be made through the JEE Main 2016 exam. Admissions in different engineering courses will be provided on the rank scored by the candidates in the JEE Main exam.

B.Tech Admission 2016

Candidates who are seeking for admissions in undergraduate programmes in different disciplines of Engineering (B.Tech. / B.E.) In various government and non-government institutions of Rajasthan for the academic session of 2016-2017 can get the application form through online process. The application form will be provided through the official site. Eligibility criteria for admission in the B.Tech courses are mentioned below:

• Candidates must have passed their 12^th and equivalent exam with necessary subjects (Physics & Mathematics) and any one of the optional subjects (Chemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science and Biology).
• Candidates have to secure minimum 45% of marks (for general students) and 40% marks (if the candidate belongs to SC/ST/ Non Creamy Layer OBC/ Non Creamy Layer SBC of Rajasthan state) in their 12^th
• Candidates whose DOB falls on or after October 01, 1990 are eligible for the admissions.

The JEE Main 2016 exam dates (Tentative) are mentioned below:

• JEE Main pen and paper based paper – started from first week of April
• JEE Main Computer based Paper – second to third week of April 2016

Documents Required

The documents required for the admission in B.Tech programmes are mentioned below:

• Mark sheets of 10^th, 11^th and 12^th exam
• JEE Main 2016 score card
• Domicile certificate
• Reserved category certificate

Selection Process

Those students who want to take admission in engineering courses will have to fill the application form online. After filling the application form two merit list will be declared, first one is based on the JEE Main exam and other one is based on 12^th exam. After the declaration of merit list, candidates have to pay the fee and choose the college/university where the candidates want to take admission. The allotment of the college/university to the student will be done through the computer software according to the merit list and seats available. After that candidates have to report to the allotted institute with all the required documents and fee.
