TNEA 2024 Rank List will be published in fourth week of June 2024. Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission (TNEA) is an admission procedure organised every year. The Anna University, Tamil Nadu conducts this admission procedure.
Through this, admission will be offered in undergraduate level Engineering courses such as B.E. and B.Tech degree courses. The candidates will be shortlisted for admission in various government and private engineering institutes/colleges based on their 12th level scores.

TNEA 2024 Rank List
The TNEA 2024 Rank List will be released in fourth week of June 2024 through online mode. Candidates will have to visit the website of TNEA to check or download the rank list. The university will publish the overall rank and community wise rank list on the online website.
Candidates with their names in rank list will be considered eligible to get admission in engineering courses. The selected candidates will be called for participating in counselling rounds.

TNEA 2024 Merit List
The university will release the TNEA 2024 Merit list through online mode. The candidates will be able to check the merit list after the declaration of result. The merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in relevant subjects, namely, Maths, Physics and Chemistry in 12th standard.
TNEA 2024 Tie-Breaking Criteria
The TNEA 2024 tie breaking criteria will be used to determine the rank of two or more candidates scoring same marks in common merit list, then tie will be resolved in the order of the priority as follows:
- The first priority will be given to candidates scoring higher percentage marks in mathematics.
- The second priority will be given to candidates scoring higher percentage marks in mathematics.
- If tie still persist, percentage of total marks in 12th standard examination will be given priority.
- If tie still persist, percentage of total marks in 10th standard examination will be given priority.
- If the tie still remains, then date of birth of candidates will be given priority .
- Lastly, a random number will be assigned to remove a tie.
TNEA 2024 Cut Off
The Anna University fixes a minimum qualifying marks i.e, cut off marks for selecting the candidates for admission. Those candidates who secured the minimum cut-off marks will be considered eligible for participating in counselling and further admission rounds.
The cut-off is prepared based on several variables such as number of candidates applied. Number of seats available, last year cut-off trends etc. A separate category wise TNEA 2024 cut-off list will be prepared by the university.

TNEA 2024 Counselling
The TNEA 2024 counselling process will include registration, payment, choice filling, allotment and confirmation of seats. The allotment of seats in various colleges will be done on the basis of choice filling and reservation criteria.
Candidates will have to register themselves and pay the fee for the counselling rounds. Candidates will be given a facility to fill the choices of courses and colleges for the admission. For the counselling process, candidates will be required to produce their valid documents for verification.
